What did you buy for yourself this Christmas?

Post by RFalvo69 »

I almost bought Warplan, but at the end I chose hexes & paper and bought Fatal Alliances III by Compass Games.

You?

Nothing, I'm a princess, I already have everything :)
Wargame, 05% of the time.
Play with Barbies 05% of the time.
Play with Legos 10% of the time.
Build models 20% of the time
Shopping 60% of the time.
Exlains why I buy em more than I play em.

Greeting to All,
I am allowed to ride as a passenger in the 2019 Dodge Charger I bought my wife.
But I did treat myself to a Dodge Charger hat.

Also took the plunge and got CM Black Sea for modern day Eastern Front action ala rootin, tootin, shootin, Putin.

Greetings Red2112,
I love train simulators and have all the Microsoft versions and add-ons.
I have Trainz 2006, 2008, 2012 and 2014. First grandson came in 20016 and have not kept up with train sims
I will check out Trainz 2019. After several Lego sets for grandson may have to wait for more paychecks though.
Paying cash for wife's Dodge Charger is the real culprit.

Hi Rommel222,

I could not find a download version of the Microsoft version, but I did see the OpenRails version although I don´t have it installed. They did put out a pay version of OP that includes a scenario.

I also have Trainz 2009. 2010, 2012 (Steam) and T:ANE along with TRS2019 (Platinum). Also TSW2020 (Dovetails Train Sim World, TS2019).

Now is a good time to check Trainz out because of there Holidays sale. T:ANE is about €6 right now which is a great price!

And T:ANE Platinum at €37:

TRS2019 at €45:

And here´s Trainz 2009 for free [:)]

Glad there´s another train fan around [;)]

Greetings Again Red2112,
Thanks for all the info & links. I also have Trainz 2002, 2004 & 2009.
Trainz series is much better than Microsoft's Train Sim.

I also love Vstep's Ship simulator 2006 & 2008 collector editions.
Tried demo of Ship Simulator Extremes back in the day but did not pursue.

Also like Sim Tractor and Ice Road Truckers sim.

Have you tried Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator? They are becoming my "just another job" games. I was surprised by how addictive they are, until I remembered that one of my favourite games for Intellivision was Truckin.

Yes, I have ETS2 aswell. I like it too, but the only problem for me is the wheel set-up. I have a Logitech driving wheel that once set-up it´s hard to see my front screen and get accesses the desk keyboard. So I only set it up once in awhile.

I also have Project Cars 2 which I really like too. The karts are alot of fun. Assetto Corsa aswell but I like PC2 better as you have more flexability as to what to do/play.

CMO (since I have CMANO)
Sengoku Jidai: Shadow of the Shogun (since I have the other Byzantine Games)
Mare Nostrvm
Euro Truck Simulator 2
American Truck Simulator

The truck simulators are really addictive. I find them strangely relaxing too ... until I hit something.

I didn't buy any games this xmas, had bad year this time due to cut back on funded or no xmas bonus from job/gov. GF told me not to buy anything, cause she didn't get her bonus and pretty upset over it.

She blame that on Omo whoever that is (NY Gov) as well Trump's cut back.

But I am waiting for Distant Worlds II though, looking forward to get it once he/they get it release and very much like to see the next improved War in the Pacific in WWII.

Got a little bit of money for Christmas, so bought a few in the sale:

Piercing Fortress Europa
Kursk: The Battle at Prochorovka
Armoured Brigade
Close Combat: The Bloody First
Strategic Command WW11: World at War
Command: Modern Operations

Plus also took advantage of the JTS sale and bought my first from them: Japan '45

Now its a case of finding time to play them, I'm back at work next Monday.
