Getting troops/ships from GB/US/Canada => Egypt

Post by Dorky8 »

Am I missing the gateways or do you really have to manually move them around Africa?

Yes, and only this allows your opponent to attack your troop transports while doing so.

Correct and with the large imbalance between subs and surface ships will make in very unrealistic.

It's pretty hard to catch troop transports, especially if you use the cruise mode where naval units travel pretty far in one single movement.
From my point of view beam points kind of kill the game, as they declare that the game map is not fitting the game system.
And, of course, I like the chance to be able to intercept naval units.

If the Axis put a bunch of subs around Southern Africa it will block most transports. The naval game is run into the opponent and take damage.

Let the Axis park their precious subs around south Africa. Better there, far from repairs and supply, than in the Atlantic. Don't forget that the Allies have CVs and DDs, Naval Bombers and much more to check and hunt and fight enemy subs. That is what the game is about. At least in my opinion.

How many subs do you think Germany has lol. Unless you are playing with soft limits, the number of subs is fixed.

No sh** genius

You played the SC PBEM game?

At best its incredibly monotonous dragging transports & navies around Africa.

There are two features that would be incredibly useful in the naval game:

1) group units as fleet that moves together and maintains relative position
2) designate destination and automove to it.
