an issue and a suggestion

Post by budd »

First the issue, in the tutorial the gap the big tutorial windows are cut off and you cant read all the text. Screenshot included. I'm playing on a laptop at 1366x768

The suggestion is could we have the choice of leaving the left side info panel up and not have it close with the right window. [i'd like to leave the window with the star open, right now the right and left close together]

a small thing, the buttons cover the text cant read it, if you raise the lower panel you can see it fine.

I'm having the same problem with the tutorial where the tutorial card is cut off half way down and there seems to be no way to scroll or move the tutorial box up so that I can see the rest of the text. What is up with that? I also have 1366x768 screen.

In the System options do you have it set to use Desktop Resolution? If so, try the dropdown and pick something different just as a test.

Do you have onboard graphics and what type.

tried all available resolutions, same thing. on board intel HD 3000 64 dedicated up too 1.6 gigs shared. The game pulls about 800 megs to 1 gig of memory when running.

Hmm, it seems that tutorial window doesn't quite fit on a monitor that's only 768 high. I did extensive 1024x768 testing at one point, but I guess we added the Gap tutorial after that. Can you increase the display height of your monitor for now?

I'm not seeing any problems with the 'T' key, but it may be a preference-specific problem. Have you changed any of the display preferences? Which map is this happening on?

nope can't change the display height. It's the gap map for the tutorial boxes and the gap map and most of the awakening the bear scenarios so far for the T key thing and doesn't matter what combination of map and units you use.I tried all the resolutions available to me no difference. i'd like to turn off the tutorial boxes, is that possible? The buttons obscuring the unit text info in the shot above is more bothersome to me, i have to raise the bottom panel to be able to see what damage my unit has suffered. What about the idea of making those left and right panels close and open independently, i'd like to leave the left one open.
I just tried the map again and changed the water to simple and instead of water it was a black screen instead. Here's a shot of my settings below. the one complaint i would have is the UI could be better, seems like a alot of wasted space for me and cluttered with all the windows open, of course it's probably fine for you guys's giant monitor's.I'll have to hook to the 47in hd and see how it looks. Fun game i'm enjoying it, thx for your attention.

i reinstalled the game and im running the setup release. The tutorial cards are still cut off, but the t key works fine on the gap tutorial with and without simple water selected.
