Blackberry advice

Post by Halsey »

Looking to get a Blackberry, who offers the best deal, and which phone is the best choice?

I would appreciate the advice, especially since I'm operating on a fixed income.[;)]

I suggest you go to the blackberry website and get a list of the different models.

Learn that the top model has 8 featurs of which only 5 interest you.

Then search the internet for reviews on each model.

Most BB's are good devices. Your're best bet is to go to the various stores, Verizon, AT&T, Sprint etc and actually work with them for a bit.

I like the Blackberry Curve the best. It's small, but it also has a full keyboard that's functional. Plus, of course, it's cheap and pretty easy to get.

I did have a blackberry storm for two years....I liked it. However, the internet simply sucks on it and the apps and the blackberry app store pale to the Droid. I have a Droid now and if given the choice I would have picked the Droid over the blackerry. Either way it's not the cost of phone, it's the package you have to get with a smart phone that cost the most. For me penny for penny I feel like I get a better deal with the Droid.

I have the Storm 2 (9550) and have absolutely no complaints about it.

Wife just bought a Bold (9700).
Played with it and it's quite good.

Thanks jomni.

The reason for a blackberry as a choice for me is mainly the encryption that the company offers.
At times in my business we transmit sensitive data.

Most of the optional features , besides gps, are just candy.

SoI'm looking for a utilitarian model.

Thanks to most of you who responded.
I apppreciate the constructive input.[;)]
