Why can't my carrier attack?

I played the Guam scenario which has 5 carrier groups and a number of patrol units. Initially I could bombard with the BBs and carry out air attacks with the carriers. But as time went on, fewer and fewer of my carriers could carry out air attacks, starting with the ones with lower percentages. Finally around move 10 none of my ships could air attack nor bombard. What is going on?

Some of them were still at 100% with their strength unchanged.

They have a range.

Check out the other thread. I think you have to move them to a different ocean.

That's funny.  I just asked this same question on another post and when I got back to the main board your question was here.  I'm looking forward to someone answering this question.

Can you try sailing out of the sea zone and then on the next turn sail back?

I just tried it and indeed when I moved them to an adjacent sea zone they could air strike, althought the new sea zone was not adjacent to the cities I wanted to strike (the double hex city whose name I forgot).

How do I post a saved game? When I try it opens the saved game folder instead. A saved screen is not necessary, all fleets were in their original positions and I never moved them.They just stopped being able to attack at some point.

go to directory zip the saved game.

Then you can click post reply and use the attach button.

Nope when I try to post the zipped file, it says that that file type is not supported.

saved game emailed. I am pretty sure it is a bug, and it has been reported elsewhere in the forum.Let me knowwhat you find.

Sorry, I sent it again. I hope you get it this time, although the problem may be gone now that I have installed the 1.02 beta patch? The file I sent is from the 1.01 download version.
