Re: Blue VS Gray mod
Hi!
First, thank you for this wonderful mod.
I have installed it, and it displays the beautiful counters when fully zoomed on the map.
However, it reverts to normal NATO counters when zoomed-out.
This is a bummer, since I usually play 95% of the time zoomed-out.
Would you have a fix for this issue by any chance?
Thanks again for sharing this creative endeavour, it really adds a lot to the game.

Re: Blue VS Gray mod
Check inside the game's Bitmaps/Major folders. It sounds like you don't have the Blue vs Grey version of the "unit_sprites_nato_zoom.png" file installed in each of them. This is the "zoomed-out" counter art. Each folder should have one set. See if the ones you have are still the original files which came with the game.

Re: Blue VS Gray mod
Indeed, I just checked in the Blue_Vs_Grey_Units folder, under Bitmaps.
In every folder, the ''unit_sprites_nato_zoom'' contains the original NATO counters.
Only the ''unit_sprites_nato'' contains the mod art.
This is from the downloaded mod file.
I can't find those zoomed-out png anywhere

Okay, well here is the Confederate zoomed out file (it's grey anyway) Put this png file in the Bitmaps/Major_01 folder.

Re: Blue VS Gray mod
Here is the Union.png file. Save it to your desktop and then put it in the Major_05 folder. That'll get you going for the major players anyway.

Thank you very much, Platoonist!
This is the issue, and putting the new png you provided has fixed it for the confederate side.
Would you have the Union one by any chance?

Re: Blue VS Gray mod
How badly do you need the British, French, Spanish and Mexicans? Usually they don't make it into many games.

It would be nice to have them, but I don't want to take more of your time.
I just wonder why I didn't have those files in the downloaded mod.
Thanks again your help and the png files.

Re: Blue VS Gray mod
Hello everyone, the SC:ACW Blue VS Gray Sprites are very nice! Sadly, when i zoom out the map, they change to the vanilla nato counter symbols (unit_sprites_nato_zoom.png-files). In the Bitmap-Folder of the Mod are the vanilla unit_sprites_nato_zoom-files. Is there a way to get the modded one for (US,CSA, Mexico, French, Spain and British)? Hello!
I have problems with the mod to make it run properly... i find no information on how to install it properly on this thread so i used this thread here... https://www.matrixgames.com/forums/view ... 0&t=386895
What i did was copy the file "Blue vs Gray mod" into the Mods File of the game where are also the preinstalled mods are located, then i in the Game i clicked the options sections and clicked it on the mod list, i tested with 3d models and without, the mod didnt showed up.
So i need help since i dont know how to make it work properly.

Re: Blue VS Gray mod
Did you put the file in the Community Pack/Mods folder...or in the other folder simply marked "Mods? It needs to go into the Community Pack/Mods folder.Molloch wrote: ↑Fri Jul 05, 2024 5:28 pm What i did was copy the file "Blue vs Gray mod" into the Mods File of the game where are also the preinstalled mods are located, then i in the Game i clicked the options sections and clicked it on the mod list, i tested with 3d models and without, the mod didnt showed up.

Oh well... sorry.
Its all good, i made it.
I was pretty dumb, i didnt see the part where mod creator said "this and this files need to be installed/copyd/drag and dropped into community/mod file"
I was a littlebit flabbergasted by "install the mod" and i was like, nobody told me how to!! But in fact.. i just wasnt paying enough attention. I did it, everything looks cool and works fine and iam on my first Multiplayer Match preperation with my mate right now, we both got it in the sale

Thank you for your reply!

Re: Blue VS Gray mod
Unfortunately I couldn't get it work. I tried copying in the "Strategic Command American Civil War\Community Pack\Mods", but also the under "Strategic Command - American Civil War\Mods" folder.
I got the counters after installing at the "Mods" folder (not the "Community Pack"; contrary to what the creator mentioned), but I had a feeling that I was missing many of the art that the creator has made.
