Game Screen Goes Black

This happens three different times. Somewhere in the game do not know the date it happened. Gaming all of a suddenly the screen goes completely black except for three objects at the very bottom of the screen (_ _ _). The lines are like what up see when first loading in the game. That is all you can see. Doing the Ctrl+Alt+Delete did not clear the screen nor boot back to the desktop nor bring up the task manager. Had to shut down the computer with the power button. Let the computer set for several minutes. Re started the computer and the game immediately reappeared right at the spot where the screen went black (Like 12 Sept 1982 screen goes black then 12 Sept 1862 when the screen reappears). When the computer restarted, it did not go to the desktop but straight to the game where it was being played. Game play at this point was normal. Then it happened again a sometime later. Was playing the Blue and gray 1861. I have updated the game as of 04/13/2023. But this happened with that last two updates.

Very odd error, could you tell me if in the SETTINGS screen if the 'Full Screen' option is selected? And if turning it off helps in any way?
