180th Special Divison AAR

Post by Black Knight »

Well, when my team, the 180th Special Division entered the first battlefield of the savannah campaign, i was pretty nervous. Would the 3 light Titans hold out against the 5 recon Titans of the enemy?

First, i tried to get into close combat wiht them, but their two Hunchbacks with AC20's always hit the legs of my team's Titans, so that they were easy prey. I tried this battle 5 times, without succes.

But then, i had a genious idea: I created smoke with the AC12. So, the enemy team couldn't lock me and they had to go into close combat with my team. The first Titan that apperad out of the smoke was a Reptile (one of my own creations, it's armed with dual power axes and an E.M. Pulser). One shot from the Tesla Bolt of my squad leader Frosty destroyed it's lower torso, rendering it useless.

The second Titan was one of the two Hunchback's. It had locked Firestorm, my team's business man an hit his right torso, causing medium damage on the battle computer. The second shot from it's heavy laser fully destroyed it, so i tried a charge on him. I succeeded, but neither of the two Titans fell down. After half a minute, the rest of the enemy squad appeared and startet shooting Firestorm apart, while he was using his chainsaw in close combat. Firestorm finally caught a hit on his right hip, and fell down. Through this, his life support got damaged and Firestorm started bleeding. Meanwhile, my third jock Viper could gain a good position for lining up his gauss guns onto the enemy, and to support Firestorm in his desperate situation. While Firestorm was trying to stand up, Frosty charged on of the other titans, and finished him with his tesla bolt right between the eyes.

After two minutes, no enemy was left but one. The second hunchback finally appeared and seemed to be full of anger because of the fate of his comrades. And really, it was very difficult to disable and finally kill him, it was more difficult than all the other enemys before. With a lucky shot, he hit the engine of Frosty's Blue Thunder (also my own creation) and caused heavy damage. Thank god, Frosty could repair the engine, so there was again enough power to charge the Tesla Bolt. But non of Frosty's shots seemed to damage or even affect his foe. Only when they got into melee, frosty could disable his center torso. But, surprise, surprise! The engine wasn't in the center torso. So, the battle went on and only when finally Viper and Firestorm joined the party again, they could defeat him with the united strenght of two chainsaws, one power axe, one small laser, one machine gun, one AC12,2 gaussguns ..., and naturally 3 arms und 6 legs. [:D]

That really was a hard battle, but it was damn great fun and my team earned a lot of experience. Mission accomplished! [8D]

As the enemy? This map should give you even odds. 3 Ls vs 2Ls+3Rs is not even odds.

"and naturally 3 arms und 6 legs. "

You mean 6 arms and 3 legs, right? [;)]
