Hack's Plays v4.0.1 released

Post by hack153 »

v4.0.1 adds Coach Smith to the mix. This is the third of the planned eight playbooks to be released. v4.0.1 also fixes issues with playbook group play replicaton. I also edited plays and added tons of new ones.

Hack's Plays v4.0.1 can downloaded directly from the below link:

Again, read the READ ME file before using.

**************************************************************************COACH SMITH
OFFENSIVE COORDINATOR WELCH
DEFENSIVE COORDINATOR CAMPBELL

OVERVIEW OF THE OFFENSE
Coach Smith is a run balanced playbook. His playbook contains traditional two half-back, one tight end, two wide receiver formations and one half-back formations. Teamwork is key for the success of this playbook. The quarterback, running back, wide receivers, tight end(s), and offensive linemen have an equal role in moving the ball down the field.

Most running plays will be dives, off tackles, powers sweeps to the strong side. However, don't totally discount the weak side. Passing plays will often focus on the situation distance at hand. The offense usually doesn't go deep too often on first downs or short yard situations.

The quarterback doesn't have to be anything special. He just needs to get the job done. Don't worry about his speed, because he rarely leaves the pocket.

The running back should be strong enough to smash the ball up the middle but also fast enough to get around the outside. He should be surrounded by run blocking offensive linemen and a quick fullback who can lead the way. The full back may get an occasional touch in goal line situations.

R1 (WR) and R2 (WR) should be skilled receivers. They both need speed and the ability to catch the ball. TE1 (TE) needs to be well rounded. He needs some speed, some catching ability, and some blocking ability.

OVERVIEW OF THE DEFENSE
Coach Smith utilizes a base 3-3-5. In goal line, red zone, and 3rd & short situations, he will substitute one of the safeties for another inside linebacker. He often uses shell covers 1, 2, 3, 4 but will use straight man-to-man when it counts. Coach Smith is either going to blitz or he's not. Blitzes will come from various locations usually from an overwhelming amount of players.
