will expansion work with base game from STEAM

I have Armada 2526 game via STEAM and am wondering if the expansion works ok with it? Does anyone have any experience with this? Thanks in advance!

Hey Byeohazard. I can't personally vouch for it, but the developer has stated on multiple occasions that any version of the expansion will work with any version of the original game -- including Steam versions. [:)]

Thanks Martok! Yea I saw a bunch of "it will work...but hold on a minute maybe not" kinda stuff floating around on Ntroniums site and Space Sector. I managed to get the expansion and it seems to work well, although I am getting some net framework error in diplomacy after I go back to look at current deals. I think it is a bug that never got resolved ( forum member at ntronium finebone seemed to have the same error in a multiplayer game a couple yrs ago)..so I do not think its 2 different versions of the game (non steam and Steam) fighting eachother.
