CTD while saving game in detailed battle

Hello everybody,
maybe someone can help me. When I try to save a game during a detailed battle, it always occurs in a CTD. Had anybody have the same problems before? Is there any solution. Detailed battles can take quiet a time, so it would be very good if theres any possibilty for me saving the game duringe the battle.

Are you playing COG or COG:EE?

Sorry it's taken so long to respond -- this forum has been all but abandoned now that the expansion is out.

Thx for the reply, I didn´t expect any answer anymore. I guess, I am the last one playing old COG.
The problem is still existing, but not every time. Propably, one out of three tries to save during a battle fails. I have no idea why, but I can live with that. I try to finish the battle before I´m quitting the game.

Is there any list of changes between COG and COG:EE?
