Newbie question

Post by gmarco »

Hi all,
I was playing WarPlan, and I enjoy a lot.

I'd like to make some questions on North Africa 1941 Scenario Axis Side.
It is about one year (December 1942) that I am deeply in Egypt stalled.

1) My best divisions like the 15th (1-1) and 21th pz (2-2) are unable to regain strength even if my italians are able (ariete 5-5, littorio 5-5).

2) The Cairo forces are surrounded by almost 1 year and half but they are at full strength.
Why they are not starving ? :)

And now a more general question:

It should be possible to automate by AI some more difficult and complex task to make the game simplier so it can be more playable also for newbie player like me ? I ask this question because I bought also WP-Pacific but I am little bit scared about all the complexity :)

Thanks.

P.s.
Sorry for my bad english, but I am not a native speaker :)

I think Cairo must be a main supply source. So, it will continue to supply all these units.

Argh :)

So I should retire and engage them in open field one by one so if I isolate them they can easily been defeated.

But why my pz divisions doesn't recover !? :)

Thanks so much for your kind reply.

Your Pz divisions are in supply so they should recover. Did you assign some points for reinforcement/upgrade?

Thanks for your reply.

Once discovered the option to Reinforcement/Upgrades my Pz Divizions shine again :) and I was able to easily wipe the last allied units from North Africa.

As I said in the first post: the game is soooo beautiful but in the same time sooo complex.
I'd like that there was the possibility to demand things like this to the AI and play in a simpler way so I can try to start also the big scenarios without being too much scared of them :)

Thanks so much for your time and attention.

Don't be scared by the bigger scenario. Europe 1939 is starting slowly by the invasion of Poland. You can also start with Europe 1940 with the forces already in place to invade France and Low Countries. This is a good training.

Try this:

Hi,

I have read the guide you suggested on France invasion and the next one on "Operation Barbarossa" and they are so interesting :)

I'll try to play the 1939 scenario following your suggestions step by steps and then try the France invasion :)
Then we'll see what happens :)

Thanks so much for your kind replies.
Happy New Year to everyone.
