CaptBeefheart,

You also asked at one point if any of the Allied aircraft could arrive with the purchasing system early, and the answer is yes. There is a very limited amount of airframes that you can get early. For example, the P-40K could start to arrive via purchasing as early as June in limited quantity.....

Thus far questions have understandably focused on Naval and Air assets. What about land - is it DBB untouched or are there additional units for both sides?

I welcome any comments or thoughts and let me know if you want more details from any of the images.

From the design notes -
On the ground Yamamoto reorganizes the SNLF units into a Brigade-Sized offensive force and—knowing it will be a war of attrition—converts many Naval Guard into enhanced units with Coastal Defense artillery (using guns taken from refitted warships) for a stronger defensive unit. Additional small units are added to the IJN’s Troops and support units better reflecting Yamamoto's foresight into base building, defense, and expansion needs. While all these units are small and not in great number they promise to help the Japanese war effort.

I have no idea what this means, as I don't know the Empire's ground units well enough to do a detailed comparison.

I have not seen any new Allied units, but some units are in different locations or already bought out in the Philipines, Singapore, Australia, Pago Pago, and the Aleutians.

I have noted the Allied changes in the images above for the Philipines, Singapore, and Pago Pago. I will try and get some images for Australia and the Aleutians.

Not too bad. I see you have a lot of extra battlewagons parked there, not to mention a CVL. Still, if nothing sinks, it looks like a win. Do you think you'd be able to put up a good defense if he goes for a second day against Pearl?

Is the Washington a Colorado (as in real life, but killed by treaty) or a 1920 South Dakota class or something else? A screenshot of it would be great.

EDIT: I see the Tennessee is a goner.

Also, how many PP to buy 16 P-40Ks?

90+ Fighters Left - a combination of P-36s, P-40Bs and a few F4-3s. We will see if he things this reported 120 Fighters and 200 Bombers on the CVs want to take the losses...

A Colorado class.

Yes, I did not scuttle her as if he coming back I want her to take a hit for something else.... Could be the wrong call, but I think he is 60/40 likely to come back for day 2.

Those Aussie unit at sea probably should go to Port Moresby but get some engineers to Milne Bay to build port facilities.

Those SNLF Assault divisions have more firepower and staying power for amphibious assaults as well as defensive purposes. After fortifications have been built, that is.
Seek peace but keep your gun handy.

Sent them to Port Moresby on the 7th of December. Looking around for units to reinforce everything around Milne Bay......

December 9th.

No, too much going on. John is the aggressive player I expected him to be, with the following things I have noted.

1. He appears to love the concentration of force on his defined objectives.
2. He appears to like diverging thrusts on each objective, seeking a complete and total victory. I might be able to exploit this at some point.
3. Wants to shink anything trying to get out of the Philippines. Trying to get out as part of the Thundering Herd will be hard on anything that is part of the herd.
4. Has ignored Burma completely and only airstrikes in the Philippines.
5. It appears his plan is to take DEI and Singagpe and then clean up his rear.
