After over a month of offensive bombing operations on the Eastern Coast of Australia, it's time we conclude our business here with Kido Butai. During this time, we have caused over 3000 points of strategic loss to the Allies, bolstering our campaign and setting us up for success in the following months.

In Java, Hellsen did absolutely nothing to deter us and we successfully captured a critical base for our operations there. The road is paved for an invasion of Java whenever we want to execute it.

In China, we blast a hole in the defenses on the Lanchow road and start our push Northward.

I've been keeping this secret for weeks, but we have finally landed on Northern Australia! Hellsen has neglected to defend this key area so I will take it from him by force.

But that's not all.. we've also landed on Java! Unfortunately I've seen something there that has me concerned so time is of the essence that we move quickly so as not to get bogged down.

Our advance on the Australian continent continues with the capturing of two key bases. Meantime, we maneuver for more.

In China, we knock down another wall on the way to cutting off Lanchow fuel, which will leave China in a dangerously precarious supply situation. However, we see signs Hellsen may be moving to intervene on our plan.

Also in China, we play the Uno Reverse card and completely foil Hellsen's attempt at a port strike on the Home Islands, leading to an embarrassing defeat of his 4E bombers.

On Java, our Air Forces repel a half-hearted Dutch attack on our ships as we land forces on Malang in an attempt to take the hex before he can reinforce it.

The Dutch Air Force decided not to play today, and in return we got to sail around Java unmolested. Our valiant 144th Infantry Regiment took a crucial mountain hex that could have bottled us up on the Eastern tip of Java for weeks. All of Java is accessible to us now.

In China, we have arrived in Liuchow, which is the first base we intend to capture as part of our Southern China Offensive. We don't have a great understanding of what units actually exist in the city right now, and the coming day's bombardment will give us a great idea what we're up against.

In Australia, we land at 3 more locations, but this time we run into trouble. American S-boats launch a withering assault on our empty transports and coastal defense guns light up one of our troop ships. It's full speed ahead however. We don't have time to waste.

Today we got our first taste of the full force of the US Army Air Corps. We got a little too close to Brisbane and a Japanese ground unit is vaporized into non-existence.

In China, we open operations on the city of Liuchow and we quickly find out that it's a lot worse than we thought.

In the Bay of Bengal, some curious naval activity is going on.

The Japanese have set foot on India! A brilliantly conceived and executed operation has led the destruction of an entire fortress and a strong foothold on the jewel of the map. The possibilities are endless now.

On Java, a key base swaps over to us and we now have a fully-intact airfield capable of launching any aircraft we have.

In China, we suffer a huge setback on the road to Lanchow as our bombers decide to leave the infantry on the ground high and dry.

Our paratroopers secure another vital spot in India, and we caught Hellsen off guard and unprepared. We outmaneuvered him today, and his aircraft had no idea where to go or what to do. His aircraft were suckered into our own version of a CAP trap and we can finally claim some kills on the book. A storm is brewing in the Bay!

I was expecting a major counter-attack by the Allied Air Forces near Calcutta, but they had other plans. In fact, we haven't seen an enemy fighter or anything for that matter this entire turn. Hellsen is the ultimate example of Sir Robin, and if he wants to give us the entire map to own, so be it. I'll take it!

Today was a huge day!

On 20 January 1942, the Imperial Japanese Army successfully landed in the city of Calcutta in India. The beginning of a great encirclement of all Allied troops in Burma and China has begun. With this step, China is soon to be DOOMED.

Speaking of China, our troops arrived at a location where Hellsen's defenses are weak. Can we punch through here and drive straight onto the Chungking plains, bypassing his massive forces further north?

On Luzon, Hellsen's offensive runs into further complications with the retaking of every base behind his advanced forces, cutting his troops off from their already depleted supply stores and calling into question the validity of his strategy there.

On Java, our troops are ready to start their advance into Surabaya. The disappearance of the Dutch AF means we will have undeterred access to the city.

In Australia, we continue limited strategic bombing operations as our forces gather for an assault on Townsville.

We initiated our first assault on the city of Calcutta in India, but things did not go our way. The defenders, overmatched and outgunned, put up a fierce resistance.

In China, we continue to hit more brick walls as Chinese resistance grows by the day.

On Java, better news as our bombers slam Batavia and leave a pile of smoldering Dornier rubble in the water.

Day two of our assault on Calcutta, and while we are making ground, the Indians are proving to be quite stubborn in their defense of their city, and we have not had great success rooting them out.

In China, a major breakthrough occurred as our forces bludgeoned their way through a lightly protected pass in the mountains surrounding the Chungking Plain. It's now a full on foot race to see who can get to Chungking first.

On Java, our troops have arrived on the outskirts of Surabaya and we initiate combat for the city next turn. The troops were entertained by a massive wave of Zero fighters flying in at wave-top height, blasting Dutch minesweepers out of the water in preparation of our own minesweeping operations soon to follow.

There were setbacks in other places today, but the story here is our shocking victory on Java.

I've been playing this game for a couple years and have been following a lot of PBEMS, and I've never seen anyone get the result I got today. Tune into this one and see what our victorious Japanese Warriors accomplished today!

After a hard fought battle in India, the prize has been taken!

We get another taste of Allied Airpower as 70 4E bombers vaporize another one of my units in India.

Our bombers finally flew to great effect in Australia and reap a great reward for us.

In China, the situation in Liuchow is looking increasingly dicey and we may need to figure out another plan there soon.

I gambled hard and lost big in China today. I didn't expect Hellsen to actually push the button at that exact moment and he did, and we lose big. My entire Southern Offensive in China is on very thin ice now.

In Australia, we are CAP trapped hard! My fighters and bombers flew into a hail of gunfire, massively outnumbered. Did we survive it or did every single one of my bombers go down in flames?

Things go from bad to worse in China as my large attack on Nanning fizzles into nothing and I'm left with no good answers and my forces being pursued from Liuchow. We are potentially one day away from catastrophe in the South of China.

In Australia, the waters of the Coral Sea heat up as two significant Allied heavy cruiser task forces led by HMAS Australia take out two troop-laden shops and bombard my forces on the ground. I've left this flank criminally underdefended and I'm going to be paying for it now.

Disaster was averted in Australia as Hellsen retreats from the scene, but the same can't be said on the route to Calcutta. My arch nemesis this campaign, the US submarine S-36, strikes again off the coast of Chittagong and sinks a valuable troop ship loaded with a priceless ground unit.

In China, we break through yet again on the road to Chungking but the troops retreating from Liuchow hang on by a thread with the Chinese hot on their heels.

This turn sees us capture our first significant oil center on Sumatra without a fight, paving the way for a bounty of supply and fuel production to support our hungry troops in India.

In China, we narrowly escape with our lives in the South near Liuchow, making into the relative safety of Nanning just in front of a massive human wave of Chinese troops close behind.

In Australia, another setback as a base housing a large amount of supply returns to Hellsen's control, putting us in a supply hole at Cooktown.

It's been a few days since the last turn, but it was worth the wait. We had successful days in China, India and Sumatra! Now it's time to capitalize on the gains we've made and press our advantages in these AORs.
