Peeking above the parapet......

Post by RogerJNeilson »

I am currently in April 1945 in a game that has been running since AE came out. Yes, not everyone does multiple return turns per day folks.....

I am Allied.

Just wondering if there would be any interest in an AAR for the final months of the war? Very few games get to this stage and it may or may not be of interest to people? Happy to do one if there is a demand, but conscious that otherwise it would just be a bit self indulgent and there is other stuff I can do with my time.

If this gets no response that is fine, as I say it is whether anyone wants to get this perspective.

I would be interested in such an AAR for sure. I tried out the Downfall scenario back when the game came out and was not skilled enough in aerial warfare to crack the Japanese defences without heavy losses. 10 years and several patches on, it would be interesting to see how you approach the problem and the results. What scenario/mod are you playing? Ironman? Stock Scenario 1 on a hard setting?

Here is a graphic you can use to go with your AAR title:

I would be very interested in hearing how this plays out. I've played a game that made it March, 1945, so would be very curious to hear how your game got this point and what happens next.

I'd also follow such an AAR. Regardless of your decision, good luck!

This would be very interesting to me. You could always do a couple of posts and see what happens.

Always look forward to more Flashman adventures.

BTW, that is a stunning disguise for Flashman. The last time we met him, he was engineering his escape from Singapore. Did he use that disguise to escape?

Now I had not considered resurrecting Flashman, I should do a bit of creative thinking......

Alfred you have a good memory, but really that doesn't surprise me.

You should be able to put it in the Signature area of your Profile - others have images in their signatures. I think copy to your clipboard and paste in your signature area should work.

As I have never had the pleasure of going the distance I do appreciate the AARs of those who have and sharing.
