Overthrowing India as Japanese

I just overthrew India but all I got was 530 MP and nothing else. Will this nation produce under my boot or not? Happy to be rid of them but I was expecting a little restitution for the effort because it took a helluva lot. All other minors are paying fealty but India seems incredibly light (and for its vast size) .

Yes, you will receive MPPs from all resources you control in India.

This is included in Japan's income in the reports, whereas the countries individually listed are shown separately because they have convoys flowing to Japan. India doesn't send its MPPs via convoy which is why it isn't listed separately.

I see. So at this point having Industrial Technology for the Japanese would give them an added boost since this is figured differently?

Maybe not. Here's the wording from the manual:

Industrial Technology – this increases a Major’s home production by 10%
(20% for the USA).

The key words are "home production". I'm interpreting that wording to mean industrial technology only increases MPP production from MPPs within the home country (including annexed territories). That means MPPs from conquered territories do not get the boost from industrial technology.

Actually I hope I'm wrong. Perhaps Hubert or Bill can confirm?

That is correct, only resources that form part of the Major will increase production as a result of this research.
