Ia Drang Valley Map

Post by Policefreak55 »

Hey y'all, this here's a map I've been working on and off on. Finally got around to finishing it and thought I'd share it with the masses who may be interested. Hope you enjoy!

I followed the download trail which went through Steam, before coming to a dead-end at Flickr. Could someone please tell me, in simple language, how to download this map?

Thanks in advance,

The Steam link is to the map's Steam Workshop page where you can subscribe to it if you have Steam. I can post a link to the map itself if you need, should be able to do it tonight after work.

I have subscribed to your mod on the Steam Workshop, but I cannot find any way of downloading it. Would it be possible to post a download link using Drop box?
Thanks in advance,
P de M.

If you are running the Steam version of the game, the subscribed Workshop items are downloaded and installed automatically when you start the game.

Thanks for the advice.

Unfortunately though, I am not running the game via Steam. I am also very leery about converting it since Steam's patch for Scourge of War's Waterloo made the game impossible to run!

For the record, I have Steam Workshop folders in my Steam app folder and also in Programs 86. Neither includes the La Drang map. What else? I have also done a search on my computer for any files or folders containing the words'La Drang' and nothing has come up I have also made my invisible folders and files visible, but to no avail.

I have now run out of ideas. Steam seem to have a gift for making easy things complicated.

If Policefreak55 is OK, we can put it into Dropbox or Google Drive folder for regular users.

I uploaded Ia Drang Valley, Vietnam Hamlets and Vietnam Highlands maps.

Find your Armored Brigade game folder, go to \data\map and paste the three unzipped map folders into it. Start the game and enjoy! I would still recommend registering the game and getting Steam, as it will give you an easy access to plenty of high quality community content, including the factions like ARVN, NVA and PLA so you can fully benefit the maps.

Steam Workshop downloads only appear/work when the Steam games are installed.
You can then transfer those same downloads to non-Steam games.

btw, thank you to the creator for this map
