Thailand's patrol units

Post by Nirosi »

According to the build window, Thailand can only build, normal infs, HQs and Patrol unit (coastals) (as well as supports). This make sense, no problem here.

However, if one build a Patrol unit (after building 2 shipyards), it can not be placed on the map. Bangkok is a legit deployment hex for land units, but not naval units. Therefore the Patrol crafts remain in the deployment queue forever.

Probably because their port is size 4. It was reduced in previous patches.

So either allow PT boats to be built anywhere or prevent them from building them.

Either way is fine with me, as long as it is clear for the players :).

PS: is it not possible to allow PT boats (only) in size 4 ports, or is that too complicated? That would seem a good compromise if possible.

Good catch. I also buy shipyard for Thailand but to build escort ships. And, in this case, no problem.

So now Bangkok is a port level 8 but Thailand can't build PT boats. Why increasing the port level then? I am confused.
