France Air Force / Naval Aviation OOB 2015

Post by ClaudeJ »

Hey there,

here's an overview of France Air Force OOB 2015.
It was originally posted it on Baloogan's Wiki and I'm salvaging it here, for reference's sake.
Naval Aviation is from France Navy OOB 2015.

I'll take any advice on how it could be made more convenient.

Foreword

This is not an exhaustive study of the Armée de l'Air.
It doesn't mention training units nor light transport units.

Please note that aircraft figures are aircraft "en parc", the actual amount of operational aircraft, "en ligne", is of course lower.

It's estimated that 30 to 60 % are available on peace footing within continental France, while 95 % availability is what the units are aiming for once deployed.

As for the proficiency, I would recommend setting it to Veteran as the Armée de l'Air acquired a lot of practical experience in Afghanistan, Libya and, of course, Africa.

    Aéronautique navale (Naval Aviation)
The French Naval Aviation has a strength of around 6,800 civilian and military personnel. They operate from four airbases in Metropolitan France and several detachments in foreign countries or French overseas territories.
Please note that the Super Étendard Modernisé is to be retired in 2016 and will be replaced by Rafale M.

Nota: “BAN” is for “Base de l’Aéronautique Navale” (very much like Naval Air Station), “12F” is for “Flotille 12″ (12th Flotilla of course) and “22S” is for “Escadrille 22″.
