Even if surrounded, troops are not unable to use supplies and fuel from these locked supply points

then I found

scenario Editor - tables - (53)supply base placement - fixed- set to "no"

then I can switch to deplete Mode , and able to use supply fuel in it

Version in the main menu still shows 1.02d. The EXE file is still from the 16th April. WAD?

Hi Klink,

It will work as you got it as only the scenario files actually got an update.
But yes I indeed forgot to pack some files.
Did a new upload, this time complete, including the .exe file (and thus the version number)

best wishes,
Vic

bump! Plan Martin has received multiple fixes and finetunings. Including a glitch that caused the last version (previous beta) scenario to end on about round 4 or so.

Best wishes,

Great game.

Playing the Axis in WAM and several divisions get their AP zeroed out waiting for bridges to get re-built. That includes the Division Pioneere units that are supposed to be re-building the bridges.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks,
T Rav

Nothing wrong, only simulate that some divisions historically lost full days to ford the river.
Happy you like the game !

I like the game very much!

I would like the Pioneeres to keep working on the bridges while the rest of the divisions are on hold.

Keep up the good work and thank you for the response,

Hi Vic, will the official 1.04 be released on steam at the same time as the Matrix version?

Cheers

I think the AI has improved in the latest patch in terms of defense. I have played couple of turns Wacht am Rhein as the Germans and I see clear improvement in the Allied defensive planning (e.g., taking defensive positions in villages). I will have to play more to give a final assessment, but so far so good in the main scenario.

In smaller scenarios, like the West wall, I did not notice much difference, as I was playing as the Allies. The German defense was completely clueless. The game ended up crashing after I conquered the German national supply source.

Tips for new patch:
1. hot key "next unit" please and "next unit with movement points" - doable?

2. scenario library editing to set replacements as
Med Tank and Hvy Tank instead of Tank only
so no more medium tanks in Tiger units
Mortars and Hvy Mortars
so no more medium 8 cm (2 range) mortrs in artilery regiments with 12 cm heavy mortars (5 range)
Infantry and Rear Infantry (auxilairy troops in artillery units)
so no more elite units in artillery battalions or rear units between front line troops
Horse Wagoons and Trucks instead Trucks only
so some units will be only horse ones - no fuel needed
ets.
It is doable and not so time consuming anyway.
;) 8-)

:)

I'd like to suggest another possibility. Now playing on German side you can purchase new units (ersatz battalions) with command points of some high ranking officers or by power points. I'd like to change that PP unit into something more useful than a typical replacement battalion.

vege1 wrote: Thu Mar 24, 2022 8:50 pm Thanks for the quick changes. I am testing 1.02b now. The ranged tank combat feels more realistic. However, I don't know is Retreat: Att.Accident still working as intended. You said that:

-Finetuned attack accidents to only happen now when making a KILL (no longer on scoring a RETREAT).

I might be misinterpreting this particular case, but the attack caused a retreat and Tiger II got killed in the process.

1.05.
The ranged tank combat feels ok now. German tanks don't blow up when firing from a distance ;-)
But when they attack head on, they always blow up. At least one tank in a single attack of a panzer regiment finds his "accident".
To be blunt: I always remove that "feature" from Vic's games because this one is really horrific.

PS: At least Stugs are free of accidents - my favourite afv because of it ;-)
