Hi Cain012,
thank you for your bug report. I confirm the bug and I found the problem: in upgrading the 5th Cavalry Corps into the 3rd Guards Cavalry Corps I forgot to remove the "Corps" HQ type, which is causing you this problem (see below).

Additionally, do you have a save of the division with -200 CPP? I went through the CVS unit files but I could not find anything with -200 CPP. This would make my life much easier.

Thank you so much!

EDIT: I will go through all Soviet HQ units after Christmas, as I fear that even the Airborne Corps might have the same problems.

Weird, I took this from the "Axis player" scenario and the 52. Infanterie-Division looks fine!

I'm in the midst of a new game and will examine to see if 52. Inf-Div. suffers from the same issues. If so I'll upload a save game proper.

Hi Erick,
do you mean the 51st Panzer Battalion? This should not be the case, as the 51st Panzer Battalion is set to arrive with Panther D. I will add a bunch of Panthers to the unit, hopefully this will do the trick in the the logistics phase to send more Panthers instead of Stug IIIs to it.

- Added 9 Support squads to the 43 Airborne Brigade TOE;
- Added 12 Support squads to the 44 Airborne Brigade TOE;
- Added 2 Support squads to the 41b Corps Artillery Regiment TOE;
- Swapped the amount of 122mm Field Guns and the 152mm Gun-Howitzers in the 41a Corps Artillery Regiment;
- Fixed the 42c Tier 1 Motorized Division TOE (it had 54x 50mm PAK38 AT Gun, instead of having the 50mm GrW 36 Mortar);
- Removed 1 man from the Panzer Hvy MG Section 40 and 43 (the driver) and swapped 1 7.92mm Kar 98k Rifle for one 9mm MP38/40 SMG;
- Added 2 men and 1 7.92mm MG34 LMG to the 50mm PAK38, 75mm PAK40, 75mm PAK 97/38 and 76.2mm PAK36 (r) AT Guns (for Germany only);
- Added 1 more man to the 28mm sPzB41 AT Squad;
- Added 2 men and 2 7.92mm Kar 98k Rifles to the 75mm LeIG18 and 75mm LeIG37 Infantry Guns;
- Added 1 man and 1 7.92mm Kar 98k Rifles to the 150mm sIG33 Infantry Gun;
- Removed 1 man from the Soviet Submachinegun Squad;
- Removed 2 men from the Soviet Submachinegun Squad (+);
- Added one more man and one MP38/40 to the MG42 squad;
- Fixed the 44a Panzer Brigade TOE;
- Fixed the German 44 and 45 Infantry Division TOEs;
- Removed 56 Support elements from German 1943 Infantry Division TOEs;
- Removed from 0 to 18 Support squads from all affected German TOEs to keep the total number of men as close as possible to the official TOEs [THAT WAS A MASSIVE CLICKFEST]. In general, German units now require slightly less supplies but more ammo;
- Reworked all German Mot. Pioneers Squads.

### Devices ###

- Added a new 81mm GrW 34 Mortar, with 100 accuracy. This fixes the bug that HT-Mortar Carriers are not shooting during battles.

### Ground elements ###

- Added 5 new squads of German Motorized Pioneers (for Mot. Pioneer Battalions, Motorized Divisions and Panzer Divisions);
- Added the 76.2mm IKH290(r).

- The 129th IAP becomes the 5th GIAP on turn 25 (equipped with LaGG-3).

### Units ###

- The 106th, 160th and 186th Rifle Divisions will be present twice. This is normal, as the Red Army had these Rifle Divisions coexisting at the same time between 1942 and 1943;

- Removed a duplicate of the 60th Coastal Fortress Construction Battalion from the NO TB;
- Converted German Infantry Security Battalions in FI, NO and BA into Landesschützen Battalions;
- Removed a duplicate of the 20th 'Friuli' Infantry Division in the BA TB;
- The 211th Panzer Battalion moves to NO on turn 172 rather than to NA;

- The 51st and 52nd Panzer Battalions now arrive with 5 Panthers D each;
- The 355th Infantry Division arrives already equipped with a full complement (36) of 75mm PAK40 anti-tank guns;
- Unlocked all units arriving to the AR/SR, as they would be locked there unless there was a scripted transfer to the map;

- The 38th Infantry Division becomes the 38th Infantry Kampfgruppe from turn 105 if depleted. It disbands anyway on turn 126;

#################################
### For the Soviet SP (vs HARD AI) ###
#################################

- Reduced the L.A.H. experience from 250 to 92;

- Reduced morale and experience of the garrison units surrounding Tallinn and Odessa from 150 to 50;

- Locked the 10th Air Army in the FE TB;
- Locked the 11th Air Army in the FE TB;

- Added hidden events that give the Axis AI garrison units as soon as the following VPs are captured:
- Lvov
- Riga
- Minsk
- Smolensk
- Pskov
- Tallinn
- Kiev
- Odessa
- Dnepropetrovsk
- Zaporozhye
- Sevastopol
- Stalino
- Rostov
- Kharkov
- Kursk
- Orel
- Rzhev
- Kalinin

(TAKE NOTE OF THE PREREQUISITES, IF YOU WANT TO ACTIVATE THOSE MISSIONS

- Added three event chain that simulates Stalin's interference with the STAVKA within the early months of the invasion:
- the event 'Stalin recovers from the shock' is purely descriptive and activates the other two;
- the event 'Stalin demands a counterattack' triggers upon the fall of Smolensk but only until 31 July and gives the player barely 2 turns to reconquer the city. If the player is successful he will be rewarded with 20 AP. Otherwise, Stalin will be pissed and remove 10 AP;
- the event 'Stalin orders to hold Kiev' is triggered by the loss of Zhitomir. Shall the player manage to hold the city until January 1942, he will be rewarded with 30 AP and the (fictitious) 1st and 2nd Kiev Rifle Brigades;

- Added two events that reward the player if he manages to hold specific positions for a very long time:
- the event 'The heroic defence of Odessa' triggers if the city is still in Soviet hands by April 1942. It rewards the player with 15 AP and the (fictitious) Odessa Naval Rifle Brigade;
- the event 'The heroic stand of Sevastopol' triggers if the city is still in Soviet hands by July 1943. It rewards the player with 25 AP and the (fictitious) 16th and 19th Guards Naval Rifle Brigades;

- Added the event 'Stalin's ambitions'. It triggers in early January 1942 if the player does not control Rzhev, Sychevka, Sukhinichi and Kharkov, and has four possible outcomes, based on which cities the player can retake within April 1942:
- If the player recaptures Rzhev, Sychevka and Sukhinichi, Stalin will be pleased and reward him with 15 AP;
- If the player recaptures Rzhev, Sychevka, Sukhinichi and Vyazma, Stalin will be satisfied and provide 30 AP;
- If the player retakes control of Smolensk, Velikie Luki and Vitebsk as well, Stalin will be euphoric and will order to raise an elite (Guards) Rifle Brigade named after himself (the 'Stalin Guards Rifle Brigade').
- If the player fails to control either Rzhev or Sukhinichi, Stalin will be furious and the player will lose 100 AP;

- Added the event 'The liberation of Kharkov'. It is activated in April 1942 by a hidden event and gives the player 30 AP if he manages to retake Kharkov within May 1942;

- Removed fatigue from Soviet pilots;

#####################################
### For the Axis SP (vs HARD AI) player ###
#####################################

- Unlocked the 28th 'Aosta' Infantry Division, the 54th 'Napoli' Infantry Division, the 4th 'Livorno' Mountain Infantry Division and the 26th 'Assietta' Mountain Infantry Division in the IT TB;

- Added an event that gives tips and tricks to the player;

- Added the event 'A Christmas gift for the Führer'. It requires the player to hold Dzhankoy but not Sevastopol before 1942. If the player captures Sevastopol before 25 December 1941, on turn 28 there is a:
- 10% chance of the Führer just saying many nice things to you and doing nothing;
- 30% chance of the Führer being very satisfied by your results and providing you with 50 AP;
- 30% chance of the Führer willing to master the secrets of assaulting fortified positions and raising two Elite Motorized Pioneer Battalions (with their own TOE) to be ready for the 1942 summer offensive;
- 30% chance of the Führer getting obsessed about Crimea and thereby ordering the Ersatzheer (Replacement Army) to raise the (fictitious) LXXVII (77th) Army Corps and train two additional Infantry Divisions (33rd and 311th) to defend the peninsula. Shall the player ever lose Sevastopol, those units will disband instantly;

- Added the event-based mission/challenge 'The hunt for Tito'. This forces the player to make a choice very early in the campaign: sacrifice some troops from Army Group South early on to gain a few extra divisions and one Army HQ later in the campaign or not?

- It begins with the events 'The uprising in Eastern Herzegovina' and 'Feldmarshall List begs for reinforcements', that the player can either ignore or accept by sending the two Mountain Divisions (1st and 4th) to the BA TB;
- NOTE: the player could also send one of the four Light Divisions from Army Group South. This will speed up the anti-partisan operation throught August and September;
- As soon as those two Mountain Divisions have arrived in the TB and the Ground Defence required is >= 150%, the event 'The planning of Operation Uzice' will fire. This locks the two Mountain Divisions in the TB for the time being.
- NOTE: the player has to be fast, as the event will only trigger until July 21st (5 turns). The Ground Defence value can be increased by sending the Italian Alpini Divisions, the 1st 'Superga' and 26th 'Assietta' Mountain Infantry Divisions from the IT TB;
- With the 1st and 4th Mountain Division in the TB, the player will get the event 'The uprising spreads in the Balkans' in early August. It increases the ground combat intensity from VERY LOW to MEDIUM;
- There is a 20% chance that the event 'Operation Uzice begins in August' will fire between August 15th and 31st. Each Light Division (97th, 99th, 100th and 101st) sent to the Balkans increases such chance by 20% via unit-specific events (so with all 4 of them, the event fires automatically after August 15th). Otherwise it will fire on September 14th (the operation historically begun on September 27th, but with more troops, I assumed it would have begun earlier);
- NOTE: the aforementioned event will also transfer the 113th Infantry Division from the map to the BA TB and lock it there (as historically happened, this division got involved in Operation Uzice). So BE AWARE of that!
- If Operation Uzice begins in August, the whole operation will last just 42 days. Otherwise, it will last for 56 days (historically, the whole operation lasted for 63 days, between September 21st and November 29nd. With more troops involved, I assumed that the whole operation would have lasted a few days less);
- Regardless of when Operation Uzice begins, the player will eventually get the event 'Operation Uzice is an astounding success'. It unlocks the two Mountain Divisions, the Light Infantry Division and the 113th Infantry Division as well as lowering the combat intensity from MEDIUM to VERY LOW;
- If the player is patient enough and leaves the Light Divisions, the Mountain Divisions and the 113th Infantry Division in the TB, gets the event 'The hunt for Tito'. This event loops until November 30th and each turn increases by 20% the probability of getting the event 'Rebel leaders found and shot' (so if Operation Uzice begins on September 14th, by the end of November the player still has 80% of probability to find Tito and his buddies).
- The event 'Rebel leaders found and shot' inactivates event n. 119 ('Yugoslav Royalists Advance') and n. 187 ('The Soft Underbelly'), lowers the Ground Defence Requirement from 110 to 85, it disbands the Landesschützen battalions and the LXV zbV Corps, prevents the 7th SS Mountain Division from spawning and unlocks all German SU in the TB;
- In December 1941, the player will get the event 'Reinforcements for the Eastern Front'. The 342nd Static Division together with the 704th, 714th, 717th and 718th Static Divisions disband. The 342nd reforms as a 12th Wave Infantry Division, while the other four become Light Infantry Divisions. They will all be available in the AR, together with the new 5th Army and the LXI and LXV Corps.
- The suppression of Yugoslav partisans further means that there is no need to create the 7th SS Mountain Division. The unit arrives instead to the AR on turn 38 as a standard SS Infantry Division;

- Added the event-based mission/challenge 'The fall of Malta'. This forces the player to make a huge air commitment to both Italy and North Africa to secure the islands of Malta and Gozo and making sure that the Afrika Korps can be safely evacuated in 1943;

- The mission begins with the event 'The Raid on Alexandria', on December 19th 1941. It decreases the Naval Defence Requirement to the NA TB from 7 to 6 and the Air Defence Requirement from 12 to 10 (less patrol/torpedo bombers needed means less fighter required for their escorts as well) and gives the opportunity to launch Operation Herkules/C3.
- Starting from April until August 1942, if the player gains Air Day and Naval superiority (Defence Requirement >= 200%) in both NA and IT TBs, there is a 50% chance every turn to get the event 'The Axis invasion of Malta'.
- To avoid any snowballing effect, I assumed that the invasion of Malta forced both Italy and Germany to divert significant forces that would have been required by Rommel to attack the Gazala line. This delays the NA-related events and (in my imagination) provides the Allies extra time to fortify the line at El Alamein.
- The event 'The Axis invasion of Malta' unlocks the 15th and 21st Panzer Divisions, it increases Italian Air Morale by 10 and Ground Morale by 5, it inactivates event n. 101 (Axis in NA Surrender) and activates the event 'Axis in NA Evacuated'.

- Added the event-based mission/challenge 'The Early Atlantic Wall'. This forces the player to sacrifice many rail repair units in 1941 to gain some advantages in mid-1942 and represents an interesting way to balance the huge number of rail repair units I gave to the Axis.

- Everything begins with the event 'Fritz Todt requests manpower'. To accept the challenge, the player will have to send the VIII R.A.D. Labor Group (attached to Army Group Center) to the W TB by turn 4.
- If the VIII R.A.D. Labor Group is in the W TB, on T4 the player will get the event 'Construction of the Atlantic Wall begins'. This transfers and locks all O.T. Construction Battalions (10), the R.A.D. Labor Group (5) and a few more R.A.D. assigned to every on-map Army Groups, Armies and Corps in the TB for the time being and activates a number of alternate-history events.
- On February 27th, the event 'Operation Biting is a disaster' triggers. The British commandos still land near the radar station but are all taken prisoner the following day, since the German reaction had prevented the naval force responsible for the evacuation from approaching the beach. This delays the Brits in implementing efficient countermeasures and the mounting losses of the Bomber Command force the RAF to stop the night raids over Germany.
- Additionally, there is a hidden events that when the event 'Allied Bombing Increases' is fired, it reduces the Air Day Defence Requirement from 85 to 70 and the Air Night Defence Requirement from 59 to 50.
- On August 19th, the event 'Fortress Europe holds!' fires. Despite the Dieppe raid, the Führer believes that the preliminary fortifications built throught 1941 will be sufficient to deter any amphibious invasion in the near future. This reduces the Ground Defence Requirement from 475 to 450 and unlocks the 65th, 77th, 84th, 85th, 272nd, 276th, 352nd, 353rd, and 363rd Infantry Divisions, the Panzer Lehr Division and the 17th SS Panzergrenadier Division. Additionally, the 10th Panzer Division is sent back to the map (see below).
- The early construction of the Atlantic Wall reduces the Ground Defence Requirements in 1943 and 1944, by 30 and 40 respectively (triggered by hidden events).
- If the player does not send ALL the VIII R.A.D. Labor Group to the W TB, on T4 he will get the event 'Who needs the Atlantic Wall?'. This activates a series of events that will make the 1942 campaign much more challenging.
- The event 'Operation Biting is a success' follows the historical outcome of the operation but becomes descriptive only.
- Starting from March until August, the player may get a series of monthly events called 'Will the Allies invade in...'. These events will transfer and lock (without warning) several Panzer Divisions (3rd, 4th, 8th, 12th, 18th, 19th, 20th), some Motorized Divisions (10th, 14th and 36th) and some Infantry Divisions (7th, 11th, 21st, 35th, 87th, 122nd, 168th, 217th, 254th, 268th).
- Only between December 1942 and May 1943 the Führer will bring back to the Eastern Front the units which he thinks could be needed there.

- Regardless of the outcome of the Brunevald raid, there is a hidden event that reduces to 0 the probability of the RAF and USAF Raids as long as the player has >= 100% of the Air Night Defence Requirement in the W TB and >= 100% Air Day Def. Requirement in IT TB.

- Reworked the events 'Is this the end?'. Instead of lowering Germany's NM, each event removes 100 AP.

- Regardless of whether the player uses the Enhanced Player TB Control, there are events for the historical transfers (they still happen even if the player cancels the pre-scheduled transfers) in 1941 of the:
- 1st Cavalry Division;
- 5th Infantry Division;
- 8th Infantry Division;
- 28th Infantry Division;
- 99th Light Division;
- 6th Panzer Division;
- 7th Panzer Division;
- 10th Panzer Division;

I did my best to validate those events. If you encounter ANY bug (units not spawning, units remaining locked in any TB... please let me know ASAP!

Thank you! (PS: English only here!)

The only rework I have done for minors was to increase their NM by 10 points in 1941. It decreases by 5 in 1942 and 5 in 1943, just to give the Italians, Romanians and Hungarians a fighting chance, at least in 1941.

Hi, I've been trying out this great mod. Really appreciate the effort you've put into it.

I was playing as the Axis against Soviet AI in the scenario where your units start out with the 32500 CPP. I must say that I found the CPP increase quite gamey and an unnecessary change. I had Romanian ID's hastying multiple Soviet divisions in one turn. Just doesn't feel very realistic or historical.

Also I still had units with the inflated CVs all the way on T6. Intentional?

Hey, thanks for your input!

The massive CPP increase is done to make sure that the player has enough "firepower" to breakthrough the Soviet first line(s) of defence on the HARD/IMPOSSIBLE difficulty (it's very well written in the scenario description), as it would be nearly "impossible" to do it without the CPP boost. I tried to increase the EXP of the units but they become suddenly immune to bullets and shells, and that's why I sticked to the CPP boost.

It's not intentional that some random units retain a massive amount of CPP, this is just a limitation of the game engine.
Also, beware that the "Axis HARD" scenario has some "roleplaying" events. Trust me, you wouldn't complain about CPP if you go deeper into the campaign...

Furthermore, if you want to experience a more "normal" game, try the other scenario, the one without the CPP boost ;)

Hey, I think some of these ahistorical event chains are a little bugged. For me, sending the RAD unit to France triggers BOTH the "Building the Atlantic Wall" and "Who Needs the Atlantic Wall" events and so on. Operation Biting is a disaster, but the RAF 1942 Raid events keep happening anyway, it seems because both event chains are progressing simultaneously.

Similarly, I'm not sure what the requirements for the Tito mission really are. Is the prerequisite, "get the TB above 150 percent PLUS mountain divisions PLUS all four Light Divisions?" Is it just the mountain divisions?

Anyway, for me, the "Planning of Operation Uzice" event fired, but nothing happened after that. I never got any of the early or the hardcoded September start of Operation Uzice, and even though I experimented with belatedly sending the Light Divisions after September when the event didn't fire, nothing happened, and it's now June 1942 and the 1st and 4th Mountain Divisions are still locked in the Balkans TB.

Let me know what the issue is!

Hi Cain012 and thank you for always reporting those nasty bugs!

I went through the events and I found quite some problems:
- Upon sending the RAD unit in France, the subsequent event inactivated the "Construction of the Atlantic Wall begins" and activated the event "Who needs the Altantic Wall?" (it should have been the opposite way around!)-
- The event "Operation Biting is a disaster" only had in its description the line: "The 1942 RAF raids event is cancelled" while it only reduced the Air Day and Air Night Def. Requirements.
- Several events such as the "WE TB Air Requirements" or the "Fortress Europe Holds!" were permanently inactive.
- The event "Operation Uzice begins in August" did not have any condition, even though it was supposed to be fired between August 15th and 31st (so T9 and T11), hence it's probably why you could never get it.
- The event "A Christmas gift for the Führer" basically had no actions tied to it and was just purely descriptive.

I am currently streamlining the anti-partisan operation events to make it simpler to fire and less tied to probabilty. The general idea of the new chain of events is:

- if the 97th, 99th, 100th and 101st Light Divisions (ALL FOUR OF THEM) are in the BA TB, besides the 1st and 4th Mountain Divisions, by the end of July, Operation Uzice begins in August (T10) and ends in September (T15).
- if only the 1st and 4th Mountain Divisions are in the BA TB, Operation Uzice begins in September (T13) and ends in November (T20).

If Operation Uzice ends in September AND the player does not transfer from the BA TB the 2 Mountain Divs., the 4 Light Divs. and the 113th Infantry Div., then the hunt for Tito begins and there is a 75% chance of finding him in October and 90% in November.

If Operation Uzice ends in November, the chance is smaller (20% in November, 35% in December).

With fewer men involved in the hunt, the lower the chance. The idea behind this is always to force the player to make a strategic decision at the beginning of the campaign: shall I sacrifice 6 divisions of Army Group South and receive a whole new Army by the end of 1941 or do I just don't care about these events and carry on with my plans?

I will do some internal testing and upload the newest version as soon as it's ready to go!

Good evening everyone!

Here below is the update 3.3 of the OOB mod.

Full changelog:

- Updated all data to the .10 beta patch.
- Added the Army Group Guderian. It arrives on the map on turn 6 and it disbands on turn 28. A hidden events gives the player 25 AP to replace Guderian with someone else.
- Added the Army Group Kleist. It arrives on the map on turn 29 and disbands on turn 50. A hidden events gives the player 25 AP to replace Kleist with someone else.
- The 1289th AA Regiment is not any longer a Corps HQ of the Axis.

### For the Axis Player (vs HARD) AI Scenario ###
- Fixed the event "A Christmas gift for the Führer". It now properly activates the four related events.
- The four possible outcomes now fire on T28 and if the player controls Sevastopol.
- Fixed the event "Construction of the Atlantic Walls begins". It now activates the event "Operation Biting is a disaster" and deactivates the event "Operation Biting is a success" (and not viceversa).
- The event "Operation Biting is a disaster" now inactivates the event "Dieppe Raid" and activates the event "Fortress Europe holds!" as well as the three events lowering the Ground and Air WE TB requirements for 1943 and 1944.
- The event "The Uprising spreads in the Balkans" now activates both "Operation Uzice begins in August" and "Operation Uzice begins in September".
- Added a condition for the event "Operation Uzice begins in August".
- The event "Operation Uzice begins in August" now activates the event "Operation Uzice is an outstanding success". It fires on T15.
- The event "Operation Uzice begins in August" locks in the BA TB the 97th, 99th, 100th and 101st Light Divisions.
- The event "Operation Uzice is an outstanding success" that fires on T20 unlocks the 97th, 99th, 100th and 101st Light Divisions.
- The event "Who needs the Atlantic Wall" now checks if the VIII R.A.D. is still on the map on T4.
- Having Air Night Defence Requirement in WB above 100% now inactivates the RAF Raids in 1941.
- Added a hidden event that reactivates the RAF Raids if the player does not have the Air Night Defence Requirement in WB above 100%.
- The event "Reinforcements for the East" now checks that the 342nd Static Division is in the BA TB rather than FI one.
- Added the appropriate tag to the 695th, 710th, 712th and 713th RR Batteries and the 725th RR Artillery Battalion. Now they will be automatically locked in WB on T2.

- Locked the 15th and 21st Panzer Divisions in NA.

Just unzip the .7z file in the GGWITE2/Dat folder.
See post below for the zipped file.

Quick update as yesterday I did not realize of this bug:

- von Kleist is now back in command of Panzer Group 1. Kleist Army Group arrives without leader.
- Guderian is now back in command of Panzer Group 2. Guderian Army Group arrives without leader.

just for info: Armeegruppe is not the same as Heeresgruppe, the latter is a true Army Group and the former was just a different name for Panzergruppe/Panzerarmee 1/2

Getting a Wacatac trojan virus warning on your latest ZIP file, Teo. Windows Defender is kiboshing my download.

Weird. NOD32 ESET tells me the zip file is clean. I will run an in-depth scan of the laptop and see if I have any problem.
