Multi-Player Option

I noticed reading the hard copy of the manual the other day, that it said in the future the game would incorporate a multi-player Option so team play could be facilitated. Did I read that right, and if so, has that been thrown out the window or delayed indefinitely?

You can already do team games but it's via PBEM file rather than on the server. It works fine though.

If you use PBEM saves it's technically the same as starting a normal 1 vs 1 with PBEM, but you just pass the password to the other team members and each member does his part and then uploads the save for the rest to get started. WitE 2 development is now on halt so team-play as an integrated feature will probably never see the light of day.
