Resupply before departure?

Post by Comcikda »

In current game player can't give command like 'Resupply before departure'. The only way to archive this is resupply for a whole round and set departure in the next command cycle, which results in extra command delay.
Can we have the ability to issue a command like 'Resupply before departure' ?

This is an interesting idea, not unrealistic. I don't think it has been looked at before. I have JIRA'ed this for the developers to look at as a potential improvement. FPSS-4831

This is a good idea. Usually I resupply until full ammo then move the next turn but this could be a very nice change.

Agree, this is a good question.
Sometimes players need to give units an order of a mixture of movement, resupply, combat, etc. And their sequence differs——depending on the situation of the time. The current order mechanism may not meet this need perfectly.
One solution I can come up with is to allow adding blank orders in the Unit Dashboard-Orders, and then player can edit them accordingly.

I like the idea.

I also would like to give orders, possibly limited to move orders and screen/hold and maybe even only one order, to units before they arrive as reinforcements.
I had a scenario and the units did not arrive until 2 minutes into the command cycle with another 35 before they could receive any orders.
It may be that this was intentionally designed during scenario design this way but I felt like, if anything, I should have been able to at least order them to keep moving forward a few kilometres after "arriving".
