No longer can zoom in or out om map

Last time I played, which was before the recent update, I could use the mouse wheel to zoom in and out on the units in the main map. Now I can't. In fact each time I load a saved game it puts me at a different zoom level. Any ideas?

Re: Quick Questions Thread

I've just finished reading Zovs AAR regarding one of the scenarios the new DLC. He has a picture of a Logistics Phase Report. There are two abbreviations I can't figure out: RepFr and RepMN. Anyone know what they stand for? And while I'm on this topic, I'd like to suggest that the developers publish...

Re: Abbreviations ETC

Joel, thank you for the info about pushing the AI Assist button before ending the ground phase. I hate to bother you again but... does pushing the button at that stage negate my Air Doctrines and AD's for the next turn? Do I have to reenter all of it at the beginning of my second turn? Joel, I used ...

Re: Abbreviations ETC

Thanks for the replies. I have tried simulating the air war by recreating doctrines I found in the AAR's. And I set up all the first turn Ground attacks etc enough times' that I feel like I understand a lot of it. But I never kicked off a turn because of the supply and Support units lurking in the b...

Abbreviations ETC

I bought this back in January and still haven't played a turn yet. Going to try again. Many many hours spent reading posts, the manual and watching videos. Still can't make sense out of most of it. Air war, Su's, rail repair system and Supply are still a complete mystery to me. Is there one place to...

Re: So why didn't you buy?

Because it is like every other game Matrix gets its hands on, unnecessarily too complicated. And I own all of them and hate them. maybe 1 person in 100,000 can figure them out, .let alone know all the rules. War in the East 2 is a great example. Last time I looked 520 page manual. Are you kidding me...

Re: New manual.

You'll need more than one day off to read the manual, and many more to understand even a minuscule portion of it. There aren't six people on this planet that know everything that's in it. And I'll wager that a PHD in Military Science at West Point with 20 years experience would have a difficult if n...

Re: Quick Questions Thread

God this game is so frustrating. I bought it on Jan 1st and have yet to play a turn. Reading all the posts, watching hours of videos, reading the manual. back to the videos and I just printed out the first turn air war guide titled CG 1941 Axis turn 1 Air doctrines and air directives (manually). I a...

Re: Air Interface

Every aspect of this game is unnecessarily complicated to the point of constant frustration. Grognards want an "in-depth" game that accounts for every bullet in WWII. Okay, but design the rules to be logical and easy to understand. There are so many sections of the manual which 90 percent ...

Re: No0b-ish questions

Attack means the ships is in the center of a fleet formation. Close escort is the second ring of the formation. Picket is the outer ring. Would it kill them to describe it as "center", "inner ring", "outer ring" instead of these enigmatic "attack", "clos...

RE: Quick Questions Thread

<t> This is so frustrating. I'm on page 83 of the manual. Trying to follow the tutorial scenario. I can't even get past the VP display. I would think that the tutorial would explain everything, hence the name...Tutorial. <br/> <br/> What does ET and EG mean? I wonder if the person who labels these t...

RE: Visibility of key aspects of the in-game situation - player's challenge

<r> Every time I decide to start a scenario I get completely overwhelmed by the complexity and not even having a clue where to start. <br/> <br/> I am currently reading thru this AAR: <B><s></s>The Oder must hold! VtB: xhoel (Axis) vs Gunnulf (Soviet).<e></e></B><br/> <br/> Whenever I think I...

RE: Visibility of key aspects of the in-game situation - player's challenge

That is one of the reasons I end up asking a lot of basic questions, even though I watched a gazilloion videos and put myself in a coma reading the manual. The guys on this forum who are knowledgeable have been very patient and have helped a lot.

RE: Quick Questions Thread

<t> Zovs, thanks for the tip. I did the air war set up three times using that Minsk guide. Very helpful. And it is a very good place to start from. Loki101, thanks again for you help. It took me 5 minutes on the Commanders report to spot it. I probably don't have a chance with this game but I am starting one of the scenarios today.
