RE: Japanese Ta Chi 13 radar

If I have radar in my AA Rgts, they will help with cap-intercepts in the same hex, correct?

RE: An Old Timer Steps Back to Measure Game Competitiveness

Agreed. Then we could also have more nuanced levels than major or minor victory and draw if we wanted.

RE: An Old Timer Steps Back to Measure Game Competitiveness

<t> My thoughts:<br/> VP is an abstraction of each side’s willingness and/or ability to stay in the war. That is the rationale I see for autovictory, the discrepancy in vps represent the loss of willingness in one side to stay in the fight. I think this makes sense and has a reasonable base in reali...

RE: March 1945

<t> Well, the thing is, if you say Sumatra was your red line, then that line should have covered Boela aswell. Why didnt you fight him there? I can understand not wanting to lose your ships, but the downside of not losing those ships is you lost the game instead. Despite defeating a huge army at Sum...

RE: The Good The Bad & The Indifferent

<t> I need to be careful in my response here so I dont break any opsec. But I can say this: your victory comes from identifying a path to victory, make plans accordingly and follow those plans without getting sidetracked by irrelevant targets, no matter how tempting. The game for the allies is, afte...

RE: March 1945

There is something that I have been wondering while reading (both) your AARs.

Why did you not fight for the Phillipines? Why did you never seem to draw a red line somewhere and commit all your forces?

RE: The Good The Bad & The Indifferent

<t> I really must say you have defeated him in detail with good and sound strategic desicions. Really a textbook example on how to win the war by focusing on whats important and crucial, while ignoring what is secondary and irrelevant.<br/> <br/> You have used your forces where they were needed and ...

Once more unto the breach... closed

<t> So, after being away from this game since 2012, I think it has become time for me to return. I am a somewhat experienced AE-player, and for reasons unbeknownst to me, I usually play as the Japs. <br/> <br/> I have been looking around the forum, and I would like to try the Big Babes-mod. More spe...

RE: Time to return to this game

So, I have installed the big babes B, the extended map, and the (marvellous!!) topo-map, aswell as aircraft art. But I cant find any ship art anymore. Anyone know where I can find ship art to go with DBB-B?

RE: Time to return to this game

Thanks guys!

I have a question. I knew this once, but cant remember now.

If I want two installs of the game, I can just copy the entire AE-folder right? I want to have one clean setup for vanilla, and one with the babes.

RE: New Year......New Game?

<t> So, I think it is fair to give you this heads up:<br/> <br/> During the morning hours of December 6th, several large Japanese warships were spotted east of Mindanao, heading south. The B17 crew who saw them report that one or more might be CVs, it was difficult to determine however, and contact ...

Also, if you want, you can give orders to Force Z and the two US CVs at sea. I never did like the insta-death of Prince of Wales.

RE: New Year......New Game?

Great, I pick scenario 2 then. Could always use that extra little help. Its a long war afterall.

I agree on the PP-payment HR. What is your opinion on first turn invasions using warp speed? Is it ok if I attack places like Mersing or Kuching?

RE: New Year......New Game?

<t> Hey,<br/> I might be interested in that. Ive just returned to the game after being gone since 2012-something. I used to be a pretty reliable opponent, up until a divorce which just crashed me out of all forms of computer gaming. But now since that is out of the way, I can manage a day a turn too...
