Re: ISO Map??

You have probably seen videos from beta version, that was an old button that was deleted before the release.

Re: Armored Brigade II - Update v1.583

From the DevDiary n°8: "We are also working on adding motorized paratroopers, equipped with KraKa and Wiesel weapon carriers."

They will arrive in one of the next patches, when the models will be ready.

Re: No trenches/foxholes and no digging in?

The issue with trenches is not purely graphical but also involves the need for additional engine mechanics, such as trench clearing and their directional properties as structures. Pretty complex with the current code, although we made some progress with close combat system.

Re: No trenches/foxholes and no digging in?

The Warrior Ethos and Soldier Combat Skills FM 3-21-75.

Older FM-15, Soviet and Yugoslav manuals pretty much give similar figures.

Re: How to deal with aircraft?

Anti-air lethality (or lack thereof) is absolutely realistic. Even during the worst period at the start of the 1973 war, IAF aircraft losses amounted to three aircraft per 200 sorties, whereas in modern terms, a loss rate of six aircraft per 1,000 sorties is considered unsustainable. Aircraft are su...

Re: setting up

Pre-made scenarios often have units locked by the scenario maker (indicated by a small lock symbol next to the NATO icon), preventing them from being moved. You can also drag units around, which is probably a more common method compared to the Place command. As for the complexity of the manual, ther...

Only as a scenario, by locking the units on both sides.

Re: How to...reinforcements

You start generating a scenario, and on the last screen before the battle is launched, there is a Save button in the upper right corner. Clicking it will save the generated skirmish as a scenario, which can then be edited in the Mission Editor. By formations, I mean any section, platoon, etc. Just r...

Re: US Mech 1965 - No AA?

Technically, no, as US Army anti-aircraft capabilities were reduced to HAWK. They reactivated the M42 Duster in 1966 (albeit for ground fire support in Vietnam), and the Redeye, Chaparral, and Vulcan were still in development. However, the next patch will include the M42 from 1965, representing eith...

Re: Great game but 2

I can only salt your wound by saying that it is like that by design. Tying infantry to their transport, other than TO&E issue, is related to players micromanaging and overusing the point advantage versus AI in order to save on transports and use only one mot./mech. formation to move largely stat...

Re: unit proficiency

Absolutely yes. Here is the relevant section from the manual: 5.1. UNITS 5.1.1. Training The initial training value is based on the faction attribute for the selected year and month, the unit formation attribute, and the scenario launch parameters. Some randomization is added in the beginning of a b...

Re: DB corrrections/ Additions

Thanks for the sharp eye; I’ve fixed those now. Actually, Duster was not an error since it represented the reorganized 1st Battalion, 44th Artillery of the Regular Army in Vietnam. However, upon further thought, I decided to make it available on the grounds that the US Army might have realized HAWK-...
