Having the information "stacks" or "does not stack" available would not make analysis and experimentation unnecessary. It would just help seeing what components need this kind of approach.

Game setup - when setting up AI empires, new empires should use the settings for the previously added one. If I want a game with ten AIs, I need to set up TEN. I should be able to set up ONE and then add nine more 'like the last one'.

Yeah, the tech tree is pretty one-way. Even the original Master of Orion had a diverse tree where you could get different techs depending on you luck, each with strengths and drawbacks.

Maybe they'll open up the modding of technology in the future...

A global option would be cool. Accessible from the design screen maybe, "retrofit all ships of this class". And the fleet screen "retrofit fleet". And from the ship list "retrofit". I think in general more commands should be available from the list screens instead of just the context menu...

Being able to add ship families instead of replacing them would be nice, as well as adding races. I think you could convert quite a few of the old SE4 shipsets for use with this game, but if we can only replace the default ones... :(

The lists (Ships, Fleets, etc) should remember the last filter setting used. It's a bit tedious to open the ship list, filter military, go to ship, issue order, open list, filter military... At least let us set a default filter. ;)

Savegame location - Vista

The savegame folder seems to be located under C:\users\<profile>\roaming

Is there any way to change that? I'd rather not have yet more apps clutter up my system partition, it's hard enough to keep clean as it is. And symlinking is starting to get messy as well. [:(]

Uh, isn't using the desktop res a bit of a gamble? I know quite a few people who run desktop resolutions they won't or can't use in 3D applications or games because their hardware can't handle it.

- Smooth zooming, the current zoom function is really jerky
- Update ships mission display etc. while paused: Currently, a ship waits for the game to be unpaused until it shows the new mission. That makes it hard to find out which orders you've already given.
