RE: Command LIVE moves Far East! Spratly Spat announced!

Though it doesn't matter much now as the Philippines currently seems to distance itself from US and more reconciliatory to China. Interesting times.

RE: Command LIVE moves Far East! Spratly Spat announced!

Small comment. I would think the ROC would not side with the US and ASEAN on this one against the PRC as the 9-dash line is a KMT concoction and they want the whole area for themselves too. But anyway, good effort and seems relevant and interesting.

RE: Huh?

<t> To be fair. The graphics files are exactly the same. But the Unity engine does not render them well. But takes a lot of effort to redo all the painted figured pictures from all expansions and save them in a higher resolution for Unity. It will never see the light of day if they redo everything. ...

Thanks. I did the portraits (not the trailer). Those are in-game art.
Another guy in the team did the map and the UI.

RE: "Move to...map coordinate"

The new 'n' map does the trick but it spoils the immersion if not doing it in the courier menu and chaining with other commands.

The n map feels like an RTS. Hope we can integrate it in the courier menu.

RE: What is the best way to use skirmishers

<t> When you expect a shooting match (which happens all the time). Set all your troops in Skirmish mode and see them kill more enemy than the casualties they take. Unless they also are skirmishers. Of course this if the AI doesn't exploit and charge you. Skirmishers always win against lines in a sho...

RE: More Courier Questions

I prefer to use the actual courier screen. It adds to immersion and I really like that you can chain a lot of commands (more than the context menu). But it lack precise location pointing that we have in on-map clicking.

RE: Differences between ACW and Napo tactics

<t> For me the biggest difference is the cavalry charge. They are not just scout troops in Waterloo and are very potent shock troops.<br/> <br/> So the trick is to use them properly by attacking infantry who are not able to form squares. Most of the time the horses will force the enemy to form squar...

RE: pc vs ipad

<t> I own the PC version. It actually uses more detailed 3d objects and textures than the iPad. Plus mods can be developed in the PC platform first then releases and packaged so that iPad version can use it. I haven't heard anyone modding with just the iPad version (maybe I'm wrong). Also applicable...

RE: Wellington clones.

So if I want to play historical, I can just ignore the Wellington clones since I can TC all the subordinate corps commanders and the divisions (of his own corps) anyway. But if I am lazy then I can imagine the clones as some other general assigned to handle the lower echelons.
