Re: Collapsing Vichy in Missed the Bus

it is known that vichy declaration and collapse is full of bug. some of them reported 10 years ago.

I just avoid it. back in the day I did make an expensive testing of it. but when I realised it was not a priority I stopped.

Re: abandoned

The problem is not just that it is abandoned. If it was developing an AI it would still mean it is abandoned for those of us who bought the game and dont really care about IA but solitary or even worse, the multiplayer, which suffers the lacks and bugs of Solitary but also its own. Not only that, b...

Re: abandoned

World in Flames is not abandoned. We've released several updates over 2024 and are planning more updates for this year. Steve is currently the only active developer working on the game and we're giving him as much time and support to work on these updates. As per multiple communications over the ye...

Re: winterised losses correctly implemented?

when using 2d10, then 1. it always engineer first. 2. then arm/mec/mot first (if blitz bonus) 3. after that its winter first (if winter bonus) ⇒ (d) When using the Blitz table, the attacker’s first loss must be a MOT, MECH, ARM or HQ-A if any of these attacked (even before the winterised unit lost, ...

Re: A Japanese invasion of Hawaii

also another factor, USA did a Germany first strategy. if Japan had taken Hawaii, usa would surely have changed it into a Japan first strategy. it would have meant that the war would have been longer. Usa simply did not have the navy for a Japan first. the main reason they started with a touch landi...

Re: first completed game thoughts.

I never build factories with usa, they have plenty.

also, the allies as a whole, have so many unused factories. in UK. China or France

so, as an alliance it is wasted BP

I personally hate the oil rule.

the game is just more fun without. you build and use more units.

always thought it was a good idea to get it out to a broader audience

but not sure Mwif is ready for the stream user reviews.

if it end up with a low score, then its counter productive

Re: Are hot patches being posted to forum any more?

they have been working exclusively on AI, so there are not coming any more patchs at the moment

the next thing that will come, is a AI opponent for Barbarossa.

the timeline is unknown. sometime between now, and the sun burn out

Re: Improvement (or unknown functionality - by me). Follow up of enemy moves and actions. Easy to implement?

you only have 3 axis players, so it can be difficult to watch every allied movies I only played for fun, so you could trust your allies, so most of it was based on trust. but as we had area commands we did not go to much into sequence of play. the german and Russian player did their things on the ea...

Re: Improvement (or unknown functionality - by me). Follow up of enemy moves and actions. Easy to implement?

yes it would be nice to have a replay. but in the board game you often missed the opponent turn. we had strategy meetings or eat. even if you where at the table, you could not see all fronts. the German player could not see the east and west front at the same time. in late game we went over to area ...

Re: Opinions on optional rules

I like most of the options

just hate the oil rule

Im not playing the game to do math, and it mean less production. less units and less fun.

also the oil rule is Totally unbalanced. the major allies have alot of onmap oil. the Axis have none
