Physical Upgrade for Download-Only Customers

Post by Erik Rutins »

Hi everyone,

The link below will allow you to order a physical copy if you wish, in addition to your download copy. If you already ordered a fully physical + download, you have no need for this.

However, if you purchased a download copy only and now would also like the physical hardback book and DVD to add to that, this is what the physical upgrade link is for.

This will give you the full hardback book along with a DVD (but the DVD will not have a unique serial, it will work with the download serial you already have).

UPDATE: Physical copies are sold out.

Let me know if you have any questions or problems.

Regards,

- Erik

I guess shipping via Royal Mail (to Poland in my case) isn’t tracked? Is there any insurance and complaint policy in case the package doesn’t arrive? I’m somewhat cautious / skeptical when my local national post service is involved in the delivery...The DPD courier option is unfortunately more expensive than the box upgrade itself 😞

I apologize, but I'm really not familiar enough with the shipping between the UK and Poland to advise. In general, most carriers offer reimbursement in case a shipment is lost but I'm not sure how your postal service handles it. Your best bet if you are concerned about the shipping option is to contact support@matrixgames.com and they can inquire with our warehouse to see if they have any advice.

Is there not a shipped in USA to somewhere in the USA shipment option? $24 for shipping is a little prohibitive...

No, our only warehouse at this point is in the UK. Unfortunately all shipments worldwide come from the UK warehouse at this point. With that said, because of the size and weight of the hardbound manual, that's actually as good a shipping rate as can be gotten coming from the UK.

Thank you, I did contact support@ and got reassuring clarification. Box upgrade ordered :)

Erik, which version of the manual will be shipped? Better to wait some weeks and get the latest updated version..

Do you think about doing a german manual too (digital version) as you did with WitE1? Would be great!

There is only one version of the hardbound manual and that is what will be shipped. There are no plans at present for an update or a reprint.

I believe some folks in the community are already working on localized versions of the digital manual, but I'm not sure on the timeline there. As for an official localized version, I can't predict when and if that will happen at this point, but we certainly would not be against it.

Is it possible to "upgrade" without owning the game (e.g. for gifting it / learning before buying)?
I have been able to put the article in my basket and to proceed to the payments page. However I'm afraid that it gets cancelled manually afterwards.

Is it possible to get the hard copy from inside the EU? I'd hate to pay import costs!

Sadly, the postage is as much as the book to get it here Down Under.

Don't feel like your alone in that... it was more than the price for the book to send to the US. Having already received it, I feel it was totally worth it and don't regret the decision one bit.

Haha, you convinced me or the game did. Now it can sit with the War in the West manual.

You guys are lucky--I was quoted $40 for shipping to Washington, DC. $40 shipping for a $20 book...I'll pass.

Is the manual the same size as WITW?

Height and width, yes. It's obviously got more depth due to the higher page count.
