well, where is the attachment link for these ships?
"Tho' much is taken, much abides; and though we are not now that strength which in old days moved Earth and Heaven; that which we are, we are; One equal temper of heroic hearts, made weak by time and fate, but strong in will." -Tennyson
That's unfortunate news. I can understand the developer wanting to maintain the intellectual identity and commercial viability of his product, however Gratuitous Space Battles and Distant Worlds only compete in the sense that they are both games. They are marketed toward different niches and allowing GSB images to be used in mods would, in my opinion, actually help GSB. Seeing these ships has actually caused me to take another look at a game I had written off because of its lack of a strategic component.

In an email to me Cliffs words were that he was uncomfortable with the situation. While he said he realized that there was nothing he could do about it he wasn't sure if he liked the idea. He also conceded that it may be good advertising for GSB.
Yeah I heard something bout GSB. I looked it up, but I wanted tog et a hold of demo first. It seems like a recent game. Too bad thou, these look like nice ships.
Seconded. Gratuitous Space Battles is fantastic, and a hell of a lot of fun just to sit and watch. Much as I love Distant Worlds deep strategy and management scenarios, GSB is just the ticket for a quick space fight fix. If you guys haven't picked it up yet, I recommend you do so, and pronto!
