working in linux

Trying to get the game working on my linux mint system, I can get the base game working ok but it falls over on installing the 2.02 update, anyone got any suggestions or am I wasting my time, i didn't really want to have to resort to virtual box approach.

I have had recent success running CSME on Ubuntu Linux 14.04 LTS.

Of course, CSME is not JTCS, and Linux distros -- and their Wine versions -- are not all the same.

Offhand, I don't recall if I ever got JTCS 2.0* to run successfully on Linux Wine. In any case, Linux is an unsupported OS. I won't be revisiting the issue. We have moved on. Sorry.

guess I had better either dual boot or go the virtual box route then, thanks for the info.
