In Single player mode, America and allies against the Japanese.

Computer is Intel(R) Core(TM)i7-6700 CPU @ 3.40GHz
Memory is 16.0 gig
64 bit os
OS = 8.1 pro
Video is NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970

and this game runs like molasses in January. Clicking a button will take on average 5 to 8 seconds to respond. Turns process in about 20 to 30 minutes. (I timed it).

Any idea what I can do (if anything) to speed this up??

Have tried to set any command line options? There has been several threads here about what works best with WIN7/8/10.

eg tm.asp?m=3337965&mpage=1&key=win8#

It's a problem with some DirectX calls the game makes with multicore processors and some video cards. See the threads on getting the game to work with Windows 10. Each computer is different and you have to experiment. There are many options in the Windows 10 threads.
