Suggestion to enhance the Combat Planning screen

Post by Fred98 »

1. The combat planning screen is way too tiny. It should be much larger.

2. The maps are divided by hexes not by squares. The hex under attack ought to be surrounded by six hexes - not six squares!

3. Those 6 squares use the artwork of the 3D option which I find quite horrible! It should use the artwork of the 6 surrounding hexes.

It's easy enough to omit the 3D stuff if you don't want to use it.

You can also expand the middle location but the game won't spread out the enemy units so they are more visible like it does your attacking units.

How do I omit the 3D stuff? (The question includes the little screen in the top right corner with unit info).

Half the fun in editing the game graphics is finding out what graphics in the graphics folder goes where. It's all there. Anything with a BK or bk is a background of course. Do with it as you wish. If you intend to modify something for one particular scenario remember to place the mods into a folder named exactly the same as the scenario and place that folder into the graphics folder.

My splash screen.
