Events & Marketing Coordinator

This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the fastest growing companies in the defence simulation sector. We are looking for an Events & Marketing Coordinator to lead the planning, organisation and delivery of our participation at defence exhibitions, conferences and customer events across the UK and internationally. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring our events, demonstrations and marketing activities are delivered to the highest professional standard, supporting our continued growth in global defence markets. 
 
Key Responsibilities:

  • Event coordination – Ensure that our team’s event attendance and in-person product demonstrations are fully coordinated, resourced, and supported.  
    • Plan and execute all logistics relating to events. 
    • Conduct comprehensive planning and scheduling
    • Managing event staffing
    • Arrange meetings with clients 
    • Coordinate presentation materials
    • Liaise with event managers, stand build team, and suppliers to ensure the company’s vision is delivered.
    • Plan travel and arrange any special access permissions required
    • Participate in and assist client-facing activities (demonstrations, presentations, general engagement) Develop a strong knowledge of the Matrix Pro Sims product line.
  • Social Media Management: Curate and post professional standard content across social platforms to maintain engagement and highlight past and future event attendance
  • Coordinating marketing materials
    • Manage inventory of physical event assets (tech assets, marketing materials, etc)
    • Proactive management & maintenance of software demonstration assets 
    • Support the marketing and sales teams in the development of new marketing materials

Skills & Attributes:

  • Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent planning, coordination and organisational skills.
  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Technically confident with a good understanding of IT and software.
  • Comfortable working independently within a remote, globally distributed team.
  • Professional, confident and personable when engaging with customers from international defence organisations.
  • A genuine interest in defence, military technology and simulation.

Required Experience & Qualifications:

  • Experience coordinating complex projects, events, logistics or project delivery.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Valid passport with the ability to travel internationally.
  • Ability to obtain visas and security clearances for travel to NATO and allied nations where required.


Desirable Experience: 

  • Experience working with digital software products or technical solutions.
  • Previous experience within the defence sector, Armed Forces or defence industry.
  • Experience supporting defence exhibitions or trade events.
  • Not essential but desirable experience with Adobe In-Design, Photoshop and Reader Pro.


Details:

  • This is a full time, hybrid or remote working role, based in the UK.  The candidate must, however, be able to travel to company offices, events, and other key locations as required. 
  • Flexible working hours within a demanding, high-performing and globally distributed team.
  • Matrix Pro Sims is a growing company and there may be opportunities for further professional development and evolution of the role.
  • Competitive salary based on experience: 
    • Junior £30,000 - £40,000 p/a
    • Experienced £40,000 - £55,000 p/a
