This is an excellent opportunity to join one of the fastest-growing companies in the video gaming industry. Strategy-specialist Slitherine is looking for an Accounts Assistant to support the Head of Accounts in managing defence clients and reporting royalties to developers.

The accounts team work with the internal staff, external development teams to report royalties, and professional customers across the defence industry, working with their payment systems to submit invoices and prepare quotes and manage relationships.

Role

  • Assisting the Head of Accounts with the day to day bookkeeping and managing defence clients
  • Preparing invoices and quotes for defence clients
  • Following up with defence clients to progress quotes and gather feedback
  • Royalty report preparation
  • Responding to supplier/client queries


About You

We believe that drive and a passion to learn are more valuable than formal qualifications but the ideal candidate would have a bookkeeping or AAT qualification.

Skills

  • Experience in Excel – Data Entry, and the ability to create basic formulas such as IF statements.
  • Sage – Invoice processing, Bank recs and account reconciliation.
  • Google Sheets – experience an advantage but not critical as the skills from Excel translate.
  • CRM – experience of a customer relationship management system such as Sales Force an advantage.


Success in this role will be assisted by the following:

  • Be good with numbers and able to focus for extended periods on specific tasks.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including accurate and timely reporting.
  • A strong ability to prioritise and multi-task across competing demands.
  • Ability to adapt based on the changing needs of the company.
  • To identify and escalate risks and potential areas of concern with appropriate sense of urgency.
  • You must have a strong attention to detail. 

This position would ideally suit someone trying to break into the games industry.


Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: Negotiable and based on experience £20,000 - £25,000 per year
Location: Epsom, UK
