Changing the time, points

Post by Casus_Belli »

Is there a way to do this? In the editor it says you can make it into four hours, and presumably you give more points, but how do you import an existing (QB) game file into the editor?
Any help much appreciated.

You can load QB maps into the scenario editor to preview them by clicking the 'Load' button. When you find one you like you can save it from the editor to the scenarios folder, when you click the 'Save' button a dialogbox will popup allowing you to choose the name and location to save the file.

Before editing, I usually copy the QB map file from the QB folder to the scenario folder from Windows Explorer and add a prefix to the filename like '00_' just to make sure I don't accidentally clobber an existing file. YMMV.

Yes, using the scenario editor you can set your own time limit (up to the 4hr max) and assign points the way you like. Quick battles automatically create the scoring points and you have to pick the time limit up front when you create it.

That is not possible. You can, as OldSarge says edit a QB map and make your own scenario out of it. It is a great way to get started with scenario authorship but it is not possible to load a saved QB into the scenario editor.

That would be cool though.

The game is compiled as an extended 32bit app on Windows. So it has access to the max 4Gb of memory for a 32bit app.
