Any tactica available with 'don't panick' written on the first page?

Post by xavutrecht »

Hi,

I have been playing a few games on the NATO side, eyes, ears and teeth - black horse, (at least trying to) and I am a bit lost so far.
Tutorial was quite easy to play on both sides, but the "real" scenarios...
WP units seemed to rush through the map at a formula 1 pace. VPs locations are claimed in a blink of an eye.
I am sruggling to have the NATO units in place, usually not very far away from the phase line and very far away from the VP hexes.
Any suggestions / comments?

This game is way more challenging than it's small brother. [:(]

Most of your units have thermal imaging that can see through smoke, whereas the Russians don't. Try dropping smoke barrages from artillery on your own units.
As a NATO player, your objective is more to destroy the Soviet force than it is to hold the VPs all game. Set up traps and killzones where you can destroy large numbers of Soviet forces, and then counter attack the VPs when they're sufficiently depleted. Try to keep the Soviets at arm's length (Beyond 2km, or 4 hexes) as their relatively less accurate weapons become more effective up close.

Thanks.
I will resume as soon as the new fix is released (game is stuck now).
