Drop Shadow, Inner Glow, Outter Glow, Bevel and Emboss, Satin, etc. Assuming you have some text on that layer (and it's not the locked background layer) start playing around to see wha...

<r> Some image editors such as Photoshop allow you to apply edge effects to objects such as type or other closed shapes, Bevels, contours, drop shadows, glows, patterns, etc. Just gotta experiment with them a little.<br/> <br/> <IMG src="http://ruhkarv.homestead.com/files/bEVEL.jpg"><s>[img]</s><URL...

RE: Banners and Common Sense

As noted above they're not too hard to create on your own. Kinda fun too. This one is just a scanned image out of a Time-Life book with a little Photoshop lettering applied. Took a little more effort to create the roundels. [;)]

RE: Plane altitude

This aspect of UV always eluded me as well. After all we don't set the depth of our submarines in the game....we leave that up to the individual captains. Seems to me aircraft altitude should be left up to the squadron leaders.

RE: Speaking of PACWAR

Thanks for posting that page Hartley. Bought my first computer in 1992 shortly before Pacwar came out. I was stunned by what I had been missing up to that point and the possibilities. Brings back a lot of memories.

The man deserves a round of applause for his devoted support of this game. Haven't seen him around the forums lately. Must be recovering from Origins....or pursuing his evil twin Mikuma.
