RE: Possible to play air campaign only?

<r> I am trying to play Weakest Link, but I'm feeling a tad overwhelmed with this part of the game managing the air war. It feels like a different game altogether, and it feels more abstract, but it is something I want to learn more of and have direct control over it when I do the land war scenarios...

RE: WitW on Surface Pro 3

Works on my Surface Pro 2 just fine. I prefer a bigger screen for obvious reasons, but this is still pretty ideal when you want to take your war on the go.

RE: USN Fighter & Carrier Squadrons in AE

<t> Just a side note about this list; I ran into the grand-daughter of one of the pilots from VF-19. I ran the game to see if the squad was mentioned as well as the pilot. I didn't see either, but after reading the response here I can see why it would be difficult to implement into the game based on...

RE: Breakout and Pursuit, or Quagmire and Despair? A Normandy AAR.

<r> I had similar results, but you got much closer to Troyes than I did. Wasn't sure if I could really manage a swing around to the south. This is a great scenario. I had such high hopes breaking out and then taking Paris, but then it turned into a bit of a slugfest pushing forward. The offensive li...

RE: Christmas sale What did you purchase?

Whoa, what happened? I was waiting until the 10th to buy something in the sale since I had to wait a couple weeks after Christmas shopping, however I see the sale prices are back to regular. I thought the 10th was the last day.

RE: Do I even have a chance; lost Lexington 3 turns in

Thanks for replies. I will give it a go for the next few months. I was just really discouraged after losing the Lexington in such a dumb way. Lesson learned I guess.

Do I even have a chance; lost Lexington 3 turns in

<t> So I took the plunge and decided to start the grand campaign; however just 3 turns I lost the Lexington and supporting cruisers on December 10. It was a stupid mistake on my part; I didn't give the Japanese fleet that attacked Pearl enough room to get home; but I didn't anticipate they'd be that...

RE: I finally got it

<r> Ok. I recently came across this site after looking through the forum<br/> <br/> <URL url="https://sites.google.com/site/n01487477/">https://sites.google.com/site/n01487477/</URL><br/> <br/> Took me awhile to figure out why I couldn't load troops when I discovered that I had to release them from ...

RE: I finally got it

LOL. I'm loving these comments. Thanks for the warm welcome. Getting my feet wet with the Battle of Coral Sea to familiarize myself with mechanics. A lot like Uncommon Valor, but very fine tuned.

I finally got it

<t> For the past few years (ya, I let it go that long), I've wanted to get this game, but work and school have prevented it. I know that my life would disappear into a black hole if I did, but now that school is over I can say I'm an owner of WITP-AE. I remember playing a lot of Uncommon Valor and t...

Any chance of hosting this file again? Seems I've missed the boat to download some great mods for this game.

RE: Childish online behaviour

<t> There's a popular first person shooter out there with voice comms linked into it. Thought the game was pretty neat, and I loved its theme, but wow the online community is just beyond out there. Voice comms was anything but a free for all of insults directed at whoever talked. Needless to say I s...

RE: OT "The Pacific": Your Reviews

I'm liking how the Pacific is picking up now. Peleliu episodes are fascinating.

Also, SNAFU creeps the heck out of me. I'd want him in my squad in a fight against Martians, but I'd hate to dorm with that guy.

RE: CAW postmortem

I enjoyed the game a lot for the first couple months, but since the games are so short the replay value was lost.

I tried multiplayer with a friend, but the bugs were very apparent. His own planes were attacking his carriers! [&:]
