Way to compare ships between countries?

Post by mmoaorrke »

Is there a way to compare ships between countries (i.e, have two or more ships displaying at the same time)? For example, my spies show me a British ship and I want to compare it to one I'm building. Once the screen is open it doesn't seem to be possible to open a second one.

No

You can open RtW3 a second time and open it there. But be careful with saving in two RtW3 instances as it can corrupt your saves.

When I want to compare stuff I'll take a photo with my iPhone of one thing and compare it on the computer with the other. But yes, it would be good to have that capability.

This method is especially useful for comparing say 5 in. Quality 0 gun data with 5 in. Quality 1 gun data. Would be nice to have a big chart showing all of your gun data, or at least ones you select.

In my opinion you should just use the available intel and hope for the best, just like an admiral.

From time to time you will get a design from your spies as well. This usually gives a pretty good idea where everyone else has got to. That, combined with foreign research reports, and what other countries ask to buy, gives you a by no means complete but usually sufficient idea of what's going on.

I'm pretty sure the almanac is deliberately inaccurate at least as to numbers of ships if not the specs. This is also to be expected if true.
