Flashpoint Campaigns: Southern Storm Editor Crash

Post by Makaan »

Every time I try to use the editor, I only can make it as far as the time, date, etc etc selection screen. Then I get hit with a crash report. The only thing I am seeing that explains what the issue is states that the date is invalid. Which it isn't as far as I can tell because I have used 2 dozen different dates, including the default one. It makes the editor impossible to use.

Any help would be appreciated.

I have attached the crash report.

Are you running the latest beta version? Are you Steam or Matrix game version? I checked my Steam game this morning (older 2.1.3 build) and had no issues. I updated it to the latest 2.1.4 and saw no issues.

I'm on Steam, version 2.1.3.7735. I switched to the newer version on Steam and it still gives the exact same error and message.

Is it crashing when you enter that tab with the calendar/time settings? What happens if you click next and try to go past that tab?

It crashes when I try to progress past that screen. I can enter in any date I want. But as soon as I hit next is when I get hit with that error/crash. I can never progress beyond that.

Can you open the calendar? Can you get a screenshot of it? You may need to make a few more posts to be able to upload a screenshot. Or post it on Discord and let me know. I'm curious if there is some odd format issue going on.

I can access the calendar. But any date I change whether it is through clicking the arrows or manually entering it or using the calendar results in the same error. Screenshots attached.

Also of note, when I click on the start time or length boxes, it results in the same crash immediately. I'm unable to even adjust those at all because it crashes immediately upon clicking it.

Also, the rest of the game works fine. No issues. It is only the scenario editor that causes issues. And Red Storm works just fine too, even the editor works great for me.

Okay, it has to do with the date format on your system. I'm surprised we have not seen this in the past. My screenshot is below for comparison, and it is MM/DD/YYYY. I will enter a JIRA to get this looked at and hopefully fixed so any format works.

I hadn't thought of changing the date format on Windows, but now that I have it works just fine and no more errors.

Thank you for your time in assisting me with this.
