How's the Documentation

This classic strategy game designed by Philippe Thibaut allows you to take charge of several of nearly 80 playable nations during the tumultuous and war torn period between 350 and 1066. Success hinges on military might but economic and administrative prudence too. To master Europe and beyond every area of statecraft must be mastered first!

How's the Documentation

Post by tgb »

I gave up and got rid of the Strategy First version a few years back because the documentation was so crummy. I still like the concept, though. Can someone tell me about the .pdf manual?

Have you checked the game's folder? Usually they are in there.

The best manual is the Beta Manual: http://www.great-invasions.fr/resources ... manual.pdf
You can find other docs here: http://www.great-invasions.fr/int-en/in ... nload/Docs

Yeah I found that earlier, and it helped a lot. In fact, it comes with this version, so I popped for the 20 beans.

Guys, all that documentation is included in the game. Just go to your Start Menu and look for the Great Invasions Program Group, then look in the Documentation sub-folder. This works the same way for all our games in the last 3 years.

???

There´s a 27 page mini-manual in the game folder itself, and another, much more helpful 107 page manual that´s hiding in the Documentation folder inside the game folder.

Yeah, the mini manual is all that originally came with the game.  The expanded version is a bit clearer, but still a tough read.
