Turn 11: December 17th, 1941

Slow Naval turn as ships keep moving. We finally find out what the strange allied TF is that headed towards Luzon from the east. IJA Troops capture Hong Kong finally, taking the base with very little damage to the economic factors there. We capture several other bases and lose an undefended base in China. My troops fleeing from Ichang get mauled again by a Chinese unit charging across the river from Ichang.

Turn 12 - December 18th, 1941. Xargun (Japan) vs Deaniks (Allies).

Another slow turn at sea. Another odd allied task force is spotted west of Babeldaob (northwest of Sorong) - it appears to be some merchies fleeing Mindanao or the Phillipines. Our aircraft bomb troops and airfields in china and Malaya. We capture a base in Luzon eliminating the allied unit there.

Turn 13 - December 19th, 1941. Xargun (Japan) vs Deaniks (Allies).

Another slow turn at sea - no naval confrontations - in fact we havent seen any allied warships for days. We landed some IJN forces on some islands in the DEI. Our air force continues to bomb airfields and enemy troops in Malaya and China. We capture multiple bases, including ones in China, Celebes and Luzon.

Turn 14 - December 20th, 1941. Xargun (Japan) vs Deaniks (Allies).

A bit more action this turn. IJN Forces find a pair of allied merchies near Pakhoi. Bombers hit troops and airfields in China and Malaya. We captured a bunch of bases in the DEI and a pair in China.

Turn 15 - December 21st, 1941. Xargun (Japan) vs Deaniks (Allies).

The only naval action was some Kates sinking an allied ship in the DEI. Bombers hit airfields in Luzon and Malaya, while bombers mostly targetted troops in China. We captured several bases including a nice one in China and Malaya.

Turn 16 - December 22nd, 1941. Xargun (Japan) vs Deaniks (Allies).

Some naval action off the coast of Dadjangas. Weather hindered my air operations in both Luzon and Malaya. In China we continued to bomb enemy troops everywhere we can. The Chinese air force makes its first appearance of the game.

Turn 17 - December 23rd, 1941. Xargun (Japan) vs Deaniks (Allies).

We caught some more allied shipping near Butuan. Weather hindered my air strikes in Luzon and China this turn. We captured a couple of bases but are still moving forward on all fronts.

Turn 18 - December 24th, 1941. Xargun (Japan) vs Deaniks (Allies).

Well Deaniks mentioned something after sending me the turn and we had a bit of a carrier clash in the south pacific !! I won't mention any results - you have to watch to find out. Other than that we took a couple important bases in Borneo, China and the South Pacific. Weather still hindered air operations in China and Luzon. Overall I think its a good turn for the Empire.

Turn 19 - December 25th, 1941. Xargun (Japan) vs Deaniks (Allies).

Well its Christmas Day 1941 and Santa Claus brought me a couple gifts !! I will not spoil the unwrapping - watch the video and find out for yourself. But it was a good day for the Japanese Empire. We captured a couple bases - including Singkawang - which opens up Sumatra if I choose to invade now.

Weather still hindered my air strikes in China and Luzon but we beat the hell out of some Chinese troops this turn crippling another 6 or so Chinese Corps. Enjoy the video.

Turn 20 - December 26th, 1941. Xargun (Japan) vs Deaniks (Allies).

It's the day after Christmas, or Boxing Day for some, and I got a big scare during the night phase. We have ourselves an IJN CV TF vs an allied SC TF near Rabaul - watch and see the results.

Weather affected more of my air strikes limiting my abilty to hit the major bases this turn to continue prevent fort building. We hit more Chinese troops from the air and had a couple land battles. We captured several bases, but nothing really important

Turn 21 - December 27th, 1941. Xargun (Japan) vs Deaniks (Allies).

Seems we are back to the slower turns again. Nothing happened during the naval phases and during the air phases it was just me bombing Chinese troops or hitting airfields - all weather permitting. Yep, weather is being a pain still.

We captured a few more bases, none of them vital, but most of them providing access to further advances in china and Burma. Fusan is up to a level 5 port and I discuss the plans for this port and its importance.

Another slow turn. No naval action and once more weather prevents multiple air strikes. We capture a base in Malaya and maul over a dozen Chinese Units.

Another slow turn. Our subs missed some high value targets near Singapore and weather inhibited some of our air strikes again. We captured a dot base in Malaya as our troops continue to march forward.

Another slow turn. Weather prevented many air strikes but we still hit some targets and captured a bunch of bases including some important ones in China. Our troops are continuing their advance in all theaters while the allies retreat and hide.

Another slow turn. Weather prevented many air strikes but we still bombed a few airfields and hit some troops in China. We captured several bases today including an important one in central China.

Turn 26 - January 1st, 1942. Xargun (Japan) vs Deaniks (Allies).

One of our subs puts a torpedo into an xAK and an AVP near Palembang. Weather is still preventing and degrading a lot of our air strikes. We capture another base in Malaya as well as some islands in the South Pacific.

Weather for once did not stop a large amount of our airstrikes, as we bombed troops in China and airfields in Malaya, Luzon and Burma. On the ground we captured an important Oil Base.

Turn 28 - January 3rd, 1942. Xargun (Japan) vs Deaniks (Allies).

Weather is back and stops several air strikes. We luckily evade a CAP Trap over Nanyang and perform our own over our tanks in the open fields of China. A lot of level bombers were stood down for rest and maintenance last turn. Our forces landed at more island bases capturing a few. Another base falls in China.

Turn 29 - January 4th, 1942. Xargun (Japan) vs Deaniks (Allies).

Weather is back and stops several air strikes including some fighter sweeps over spotted Chinese bases with fighters. One fighter sweep does get through and it sweeps the skies over Chunking fighting some allied fighters aloft. We bomb a few more bases and capture another handful including two more bases in Burma - we are now able to enter Burma and we will be crossing the river to Pegu soon.

Turn 30 - January 5th, 1942. Xargun (Japan) vs Deaniks (Allies).

Weather almost totally shut down my air ops for the turn with only a few strikes launching. No real combat anywhere on the map, but we capture a couple bases as our troops continue to expand.
