Started Work.
Big Changes from Europe is Ocean and Tiles.
Terrain and Units unchanged for the moment.

Still tweaking resources, terrain.
Unit updates also.
Trying to get this looking like cardboard and paper.
The glitch on the sea hexes, maybe a terrain tile tweak.
Hunting down pixels... sigh.

So you know the tiles on the map are 90x76.

So the edges need to be precise.

It looks like to me the lower left corner of the tile.png map that is empty has an row or two of pixels dropping down from the tile above.

Well tiles are more or less done.
(A filter tool had fuzzed a two pixel border around all the land edges).
Still have not decided on base tile color, (rgb value suggestions welcome)
(I Took a look through MWIF, WITPAE and Storm over the Pacific for ideas).
Now that the elements are all on layers, I can change base color at leisure.

So it's on to the terrain and resources tiles.
Then 'The Fill'
Then units.
Then rivers.
Then a general clean up to smooth gaps in pixels.

Sooner or later I'll start playing.

Aiming for lighter and desaturated so the tiles have a good contrast.

In between grading papers.
Still dabbling.
Using red numbers to tweak tiles
Blue numbers to identify terrain.
Still working on resources.

I love where this über-cool & very well-made map mod is going now!!
Can’t wait to try it out!

Just a though for consideration:
How about superimposing these classic swamp symbols over marsh green?
(I don’t think there are any swamps on the WP Pacific map?)
