[Spoilers] Scenario 12: Hail Mary

Command: Chains of War is a DLC for Command: Modern Operations. 20 minutes into the future, a spark erupts in the Korean peninsula that will lead to a theaterwide conflagration embroiling the entire Western Pacific and drag all major powers into it.

Am I correct that the fix will not impact existing save games? Thanks!

I believe the ammo ships are empty. Could that be remedied to give the US A little more breathing room with unreps?

Hi, can you please post a save from just prior to this engagement?

Hi Dimitri,

I have the save but I find no option to send an attachment in this forum. I've probably missed something but what?

Hi MajorSylvester

Zip the file, then click post reply. Not fast reply.
At the bottom left of the new window click the "Click here to upload" link and select your file.

That´s it.[:)]

Sorry it just doesn't work. I get the following message the format is not supported. I tried both the zipped and the regular save format.

Any adress I can send the file?

I'm glad I'm not the only one. I could never get this to work either.

Here is my question: after destroying all the Okinawa radars and most ships I attack the very last ship (the Fuzhou) in the north. I organize a very low level attack (100feet above water) expecting to be protected by the hills of Okinawa since their evevation is 800/1000 feet. Bad new: the Fuzhou detect my see level attack through the hills and destroy my aproaching aircraft still at 100m with wet feet. Any explanation for what happened?

Thanks for the save! Confirmed it's the same one as the one we fixed, so it should work correctly with the next update.

Cheers.

Hi Mike,

Now that we have the update and the fix. Are there now enough *destroyable* objectives to achieve the 100k points? I've been editing my last save with the new update but it seems there is no change in the objectives points. Maybe they are destroyable now since it wasn't always the case before...

Could you give us some detailed info about what have changed in the fix?

I'd like to know if there is a chance to finish this very last scenario before moving to Shifting Sands.

Hi

Added a point event for damaging certain units. If you're modding your scenario rather than using the updated one you'll have to do the same.

If you still can't win let us know so can puss it up more.

Thanks!

Hi Mike,

Just to be sure before continuing my campaign currently I stopped in the middle of the Hail Mary scenario. How can I benefit of your latest update and still avoid starting my campaign all over again. What do I need to do precisely with my latest save made before the update to get the new event points of the last update?

Best

Sylvester

We currently don't have a way meld a scenario update to save game. Sorry! Pretty easy workaround, however, is to modify your current savegame with the fixes I mentioned above.

Thanks!

I dunno, I may need it "pussed up" more... I'm entering day three and, unless they have another salvo of cruise missiles somewhere up their sleeve I don't think anything can really touch me at this point, but maybe I've been too profligate again with my resources... looking at my remaining stores vs the point gap I can't imagine that I will hit 100k before I completely run out of anything to throw at them. Maybe the answer is to not fire a single Tomahawk until all air defenses are taken out, so that every Tomahawk conceivably could count for 100 points? Has anybody been able to hit 100k yet?

Sorry you are having such a hard time! If the consensus is it is much too hard I'll be happy to update again.

Thanks!

I'd be curious to hear everybody's else opinion, but personally I would either reduce the victory criteria to something in the 50-75k range (I'm knocking on 50k and am just about out of bullets [I am, in fact, completely out of AMRAAMs on my carriers but luckily the Chinese seem to be almost out of planes]), or 2) increase available munitions, or 3) simulate re-enforcement of munitions via the C-17's. Then again I suck at this game, so I never know how seriously to take my own issues. :)

On my last playthrough I noticed the various logistical ships were empty of ordnance. Perhaps adding more AKEs/give An AOE per group with a carrier magazine would help.

This is a good idea and seems realistic.
