Next Patch question....

The new Cold War turned hot wargame from On Target Simulations, now expanded with the Player's Edition! Choose the NATO or Soviet forces in one of many scenarios or two linked campaigns. No effort was spared to model modern warfare realistically, including armor, infantry, helicopters, air support, artillery, electronic warfare, chemical and nuclear weapons. An innovative new asynchronous turn order means that OODA loops and various effects on C3 are accurately modeled as never before.

We are currently checking out the installer from Matrix and noting any incorrect or missing files. Once we get that done, they get it back to make corrections and we will get a new version to check out. Hang in there, we are all working on it.

Does the Steam installer then have to go through the same process?

The good thing is they are one and the same from our end. The trick this time is having to have both Red Storm and Germany Reforged in the package and having touched a bunch of files in this 2.0.11 update. Once the installer is gold, Matrix can get it up on their site quickly (assuming there is no other release) and Steam usually takes a few extra days to go from Matrix to Steam and then have Steam get it in their system.

How is the progress? And is there all a release date?

There were some file issues with the installer (our fault) and we are sending a revised version back to Matrix for corrections. We should get it back next week. Review it and hopefully okay it.
When is purely a function of their work queue. So it's not going to be any sooner than the 28th in my estimate. Sorry that the information isn't the best, but we would rather have it right when you get it. [8D]

Check here: tm.asp?m=4157199

We are still working the West German ScenEdit issue. It's weird and only appears to effect the Steam version. We want to get this out to you guys, but we want it right. [8D]

Jo, I wish I could give you a firm date but we have too many unknowns in the equation. We are still working to figure out what is going on with the files on our end. Once we get that solved, we need to send a new release candidate up to M/S for installer build again. We have no control on their production cycle and when new installer can be done. Then we have to check it out again. All we can do now is apologize for the delay and work the best we can to make it right.
