Re: Air drop supply

Page 152: Supply Transport – The unit will fly supplies to their DH, which does not necessarily have to have an airfield thus allowing the ability to airdrop supplies to ground units in the field. The unit must have a friendly unit set as the destination in order for the Mission to be flown. Transpo...

Re: Attacks on Carrier TF's

The bar is set much higher at night.

Experience
Air Rating
Aggressiveness
Leadership
Detection Level.

All that stuff has higher bars to get over.

Re: Divided squadron

So is it always possible to reattach a unit to its "mother"? I have two units, the only difference is that one has Det after the unit name. They are at the same location, have the same aircraft and the same HQ, but the option to reattach doesnt come up. It is divided from the start, I did...

Re: Tender ships

"Tenders Expend Onboard Supply to Rearm and Repair As a TF rearms, it consumes supplies [20.1.2.2]. Supplies are also expended for repairs [15.0]. Therefore, a Tender must have supply onboard to rearm and repair. As Tenders operate, their supplies will decrease, so you need to periodically put...

Re: Do the Japanese keep trying?

If you really want to break the AI but don't want to have a surface combat task force stationed there so they won't be hit by carrier planes, put a minefield there along with (combat) engineers, CD guns, and an armored battalion. After the enemy hits the minefield and falls back, lay more...

No.

Set your lead TF at Cruise Speed and your follow TF at Mission Speed. That will minimize your problem.

to add the off-map bases? I mean really? There isn't enough to do already? Add to it that some of them are wrongly connected, which now forces me to micro manage off base ship movement, and has caused me to lose valuable ships that wandered astray because I lost track of them. Oh, and British Type 2...

I feel your pain. Some things to consider: Allied destroyers and light cruisers, transports, cargos, etc., only require one jap torpedo hit to sink. Jap destroyers, transports, cargos, etc., regularly require two allied torpedoes and a couple of gun rounds for good luck to sink. Even with the US his...
