GP, that's why I want to look at 1st gen Corsairs, P-40K (best of this model), and P-38s. They are the fastest of the American.

Hey John, Where's the Hurricane IId model?
Also, the 9th Aussie inf div seems to have an upgrade problem. When I click on the OOB button I get a Battalion size formation.

That is all[:)]....GP

That is a bug from earlier versions that is now fixed. DON'T upgrade the unit.

Don't know about the Hurricane.

John, The allied sub minelayers run out of mine at the end of 42. Maybe they should have an upgrade to the MK 12 mine? The Flying Fish class that is....GP

Now THAT is an excellent find. Will fix.

Between the Storms is COMPLETE. Am advancing it to 4.0 as well.

The family is going out for dinner and then heading to the Greeley Philharmonic this evening. The concert is 'A Night at the Movies.' We're gonna hear some rousing John Williams, James Horner, and others.

Will Post the files onto the website when we get home.

Thanks.

We'll have to watch out for bugs but I am certain we've nailed many of the troublesome ones with this update. Guess that means we created NEW ones...

Guys,

I didn't see the new version post on John's website, so I'll throw out what I would do in regards to Allied fighter production. My focus is on mid-42 to late-43 as that is the best part of game, IMO.

F4F-4 Wildcat: In stock = 45, now = 45, maybe to 60
F4U-1 Corsair (land-based): In stock = 30, now = 35, maybe to 45
F4U-1A Corsair (CV capable): In stock = 78, now = 78, maybe to 90
F6F-3 Hellcat: In stock = 130, now = 130, maybe to 150

Hurricane IIc: In stock = 36, now = 36, maybe to 45
Hurricane IId (FB): In stock = 16, now 16, no change (really is a dog as plane)

P-40E Warhawk: In stock = 35, now 45, maybe to 60
P-40K warhawk: In stock = 65, now = 75, maybe to 90
P-40N1 Warhawk (production now to 7/43): In stock = 70, now 75, leave it as you get in for 6 months vs 1
P-40N5 Warhawk: In stock = 55, now 55, no change

P-47D2 T-bolt: In stock = 56, now = 56, maybe to 60
P-47D25 T-bolt: In stock = 175, now = 65 (lower, but no dry period), maybe to 75
P-47N T-bolt: In stock = 100, now = 100, no change

P-38E Lightning: In stock = 24, now 24, maybe to 30 (replacement only)
P-38F Lightning: In stock = 40, now 10 (replacement) & 20 (factory), maybe to just size 30 factory
P-38G Lightning: in stock = +20 (factory), now = 40 (total), no change (30 + 20 = 50 with two factories)
P-38H Lightning: In stock = +20 (factory), now = 60 (total), no change (70 total vs 40 in stock)
P-38J Lightning: In stock = +20 (factory), now = 80 (total), no change (90 total)
P-38L lightning: In stock = +30 (factory), now = 110 (total), no change (120 total)

Don't forget that with these mod we use JuanG purchase system to get more airframes. PP have gone from 50 (stock) to 60 (now), and (75) new.

Comments??

Sorry Michael.

Since I hadn't published the Mods, it was easy to back into each and make the changes.

Notes:
1. Fixed the USN Mk10 mine so the SS ML can use them thru the end of the war.
2. Bumped Allied Fighter Production with the following planes: F4F-4, F4U-1, F6F-3, Hurricane IIc, P-40E, P-40K, P-40N1, and P-47D2.

Am now loading the files onto the website.

Still have to update the art folders for each side and will get to that later today.

I have attached a list of the changes from BTS 2.6 to BTS 4.0. The comparison report is a little cryptic, but you can probably guess what most codes mean. In time, this report will get more readable. I haven't worked on that part of the editor in awhile, but thought people might like to have a list of the changes.

Some examples of how to interpret the file:

Example 1
Ships 12487 Values changed: shp_baselocid (616 -> 0), shp_tflocid (0 -> 8441), shp_dly (420128 -> 411206) N
Technical translation: Ship 12487 was removed from a base "baselocid" and added to a Task force "tflocid" and the Delay was changed from late January 42 to being active at game start.
Simpler version: Ship 12487 () is in TF 441 at game start instead of arriving as a replacement at base 616 on 28 Jan 1942.

Example 2
Ships 3825 Values changed: shp_name (src:Anchorage -> ), shp_clsid (415 -> 0), shp_baselocid (584 -> 0), shp_nation (4 -> 0), shp_fuel (1892 -> 0), shp_dly (411206 -> 0), shp_hqid (102 -> 0), shp_wpdev01 (1570 -> 0), shp_wpnum01 (6 -> 0), shp_wptur01 (3 -> 0), shp_wparm01 (165 -> 0), shp_wpamo01 (18 -> 0), shp_wpdev02 (1570 -> 0), shp_wpnum02 (3 -> 0), shp_wpfac02 (1 -> 0), shp_wptur02 (3 -> 0), shp_wparm02 (165 -> 0), shp_wpamo02 (18 -> 0), shp_wpdev03 (1570 -> 0), shp_wpnum03 (6 -> 0), shp_wpfac03 (2 -> 0), shp_wptur03 (3 -> 0), shp_wparm03 (165 -> 0), shp_wpamo03 (18 -> 0), shp_wpdev04 (1624 -> 0), shp_wpnum04 (4 -> 0), shp_wpfac04 (3 -> 0), shp_wptur04 (2 -> 0), shp_wparm04 (5 -> 0), shp_wpamo04 (22 -> 0), shp_wpdev05 (1624 -> 0), shp_wpnum05 (4 -> 0), shp_wpfac05 (4 -> 0), shp_wptur05 (2 -> 0), shp_wparm05 (5 -> 0), shp_wpamo05 (22 -> 0), shp_wpdev06 (1581 -> 0), shp_wpnum06 (8 -> 0), shp_wpfac06 (3 -> 0), shp_wptur06 (4 -> 0), shp_wpamo06 (28 -> 0), shp_wpdev07 (1581 -> 0), shp_wpnum07 (8 -> 0), shp_wpfac07 (4 -> 0), shp_wptur07 (4 -> 0), shp_wpamo07 (28 -> 0), shp_wpdev08 (1582 -> 0), shp_wpnum08 (4 -> 0), shp_wpfac08 (3 -> 0), shp_wptur08 (1 -> 0), shp_wpamo08 (36 -> 0), shp_wpdev09 (1582 -> 0), shp_wpnum09 (4 -> 0), shp_wpfac09 (4 -> 0), shp_wptur09 (1 -> 0), shp_wpamo09 (36 -> 0) N

Simpler version: Ship 3825 (Anchorage) was removed from the game.

As I work more on the comparison tool, messages will get closer to the "simple message" but the first goal was to identify all the changes.

Bind 410 has CL & CLAA Omaha and CL & CA Mogami. Converting the Omahas to Mogamis might be too much, even for AFB's ;p

Another thing, and this one I don't know much about. The F8F-1 Bearcat has a maximum load of 1K lbs, but a default load of 2x 1K lb bombs. Is that correct?

John. Did you fix the Tigercat? Also with the increase in BB and CA tonnage. Did you increase CV tonnage?

Have to say Friedmans BB book is very interesting.

Another USAAF plane with a maximum load smaller than the default load: P-43A Lancer. Maximum load is 200, default load is 250 lb bomb.
