New Editor

The to-be renamed units/airgroups in Unit.csv and AirGrroup.csv are removed to the new editor. However, they cannot be downloaded. Is it feasible these to-be renamed units/airgroups to be temporarily downloadable in Unit.csv and AirGroup.csv.

If I delete the 13 Pz Div and make that slot empty, would FHH be appeared in the game? (I cannot see the link.)

BTW, as months have been passed hoping not in year(s) counted, any schedule applies for new Editor?

I spoke with Pavel about this and got it on the bug list, as clearing the slot should also clear the rename. He's not sure, but it's very possible that a rename that isn't cleared, might cause a problem or execute even if the rest of the unit slot has been cleared. At this point, editor users have to go back and forth between the new and old editor to deal with unit renames. At least on the new editor, the renames show up in the list on the right of the screen, so you can more easily see what units have renames. For most items, the new editor can be used for editing ground units (unit tab). The only item Pavel knows must still be done in the old editor is setting tags for units to be used by the event system, but that is advanced editing. We'd like to see people use the new unit tab for editing, but understand not having fully developed CSV makes things more difficult. I wish I could give you a schedule for the editor, but we don't have it. Until Pavel has more time to commit to it, the progress is likely to be very slow, as there is almost always a game problem that requires what little time he has available. If his availability changes, then we might be able to get to situation where we can establish a schedule.
All understanding comes after the fact.

As the new editor is not fully operational, should the old editor be kept and forgive the new one until ready? At least, CSV is working. I usually keep the non-scheduled development with such magnitude in back screen and let the existing undistributed. A quite unique approach!

Yes. I tested this feature in my reworked OOB mod 1941-1945. If a "parental" unit is destroyed, the subsequent transformations will be stopped.

The rename link points or is attached to the unit slot so if the parent unit is gone so would the rename. I have not tested it if it works properly for units with rename links destroyed in TBs which then should be rebuilt.
If you replace the unit by something completely different without removing the rename link this rename will still be active.
